Set it Straight started out as a side project band along side members of Till Death in 2004. Sometime after Till Death won some sort of raffle and were awarded 1,000 pressed cd's they had to call it quits for one reason or another. Set it Straight took over as first priority so the 1,000 cd's went to use with the making of "My Favorite Words". Promoting positivity and a drug/alcohol free lifestyle Set it Straight has toured all over the west coast and a full US tour.The band stopped playing in 2007.

As a society, we must question whose interest lies behind a particular scenario and who will be positively or negatively affected by it,
I put a chorus of expectation at my back.
I am supported by a group of individuals who share my aspirations and hopes,
I'm taking my life back.
I am reclaiming control and agency over my own life,
I'll keep on pushing forward, even if I'll probably fail and I'll strive for greater things, even on a smaller scale.
I will continue to persevere, despite the possibility of failure, and aim for significant achievements, even if they are on a smaller scale,
I'll break down, I'll stand up, and when I'm told to shut up, I'll make my own reality.
I will encounter obstacles and make mistakes, but I will also recover and continue to assert myself, even when urged to remain silent or submissive. I will create my own version of reality,
I've had about enough!
I have reached my limit and will no longer tolerate the unacceptable circumstances.

My sermon notes for "its straight// kingnumb" week 1:
1.) Saw, called, loosed and touched, once you have had a king encounter, it strengthens your ability to ignore critics, they have can see it, God desires to set it straight. Your miracle will be your marketing agent.
2.) When it's a blessing from God, you won't have to exchange your mental health as payment to keep it, one way to protect your mental health is when you are able to distinguish who deserves an explanation and who doesn't
3.)In the house of God, miracles should happen. Hit different, reached different, said different, appeared different
4.) Some people like the unhealthier version of you better, when you have biblical ignorance, you are easier to manipulate and deceive when you do not have a personal king encounter. When you have biblical intelligence, you are able to not allow people to project on you
5.) Don't allow who doesn't know your struggle belittle your praise. We are called to be light, so you don't have to dim anyone's shine
6.) There are two types of serpents: 1.) Viper kills through the bloodline. Family secrets don't keep you safe, they keep you sick. Become a bloodline shifters, the cycle stops with you, it ran in the family until it ran into you, being called comes with being misunderstood. 2.) Python- kills by a stronghold, wraps around you tighter every time you breathe
6.) It's impossible to be sinless, but you will sin less. When you are called, you will begin to live like an answer
7.) It's not insomnia, it's an invitation from God to build a relationship. God bought you with Christ at no charge but he still expects change back, if you don't know God's voice in devotion you will not know his voice in direction. God wants full custody of your life and not just honorable mentions, even when you are scared and when your plan seems better than his because if you go outside of obeying God to get something you are going to have to stay outside to keep what you got
8.) Natural graduation: You get a cap and gown, spiritual graduation, you get dirt and rain
9.) Natural graduation: you walk across a stage, spiritual graduation you walk becomes a stage
10.) Natural graduation: comes with a degree, spiritual graduation comes with adversity
11.) Natural graduation: You get gifts, spiritual graduation, you get oil
12.) Natural graduation: You throw a cap, spiritual graduation, you close a gap, the gap with who currently are and called to be keeps getting closer. The goal is who you are called to be and who you currently are in a committed relationship. You pursue what you value
