Not exactly underrated. Most personal reviews, and public blog movie review sites give it great to excellent feedback. The problem truly was that it didn't get any hype from the studios. They hyped up The Expendables instead, and Eat, Pray, Love. This movie was severely sidelined when it opened on the same weekend with those two movies. Outside of the "in-crowd", people didn't know what to expect and were deterred by that. So it had weak reception in theaters. However, after people began opening up to it, once it hit the rental red box vendors and netflix, it blew up. There's little hope for a sequel, but it's not out of the question. The hype for the lore is kind of running on E though, as people assume it's come and gone. It is definitely one of the few movies I can watch on repeat and not get tired of though. There's just nothing else from the graphic novel to go off of. They compacted a year or two of storyline into a small 2-3 week window in the movie. Lots of characters, backstory, and details were left out to crop it into a 2hr span. Unfortunate.
