We should be in awe, His sweetness should keep us floored
We ought to be in reverent awe of God's perfect and holy character.

Sin's radical infection is the reason we get bored
The pervasive influence of sin makes us bored with righteous living.

Repeatedly we snore, He's frequently ignored
We often fall asleep to the seriousness of our sin and ignore God's commands.

We explore evil lusts leaving us greedy for more
Our sinful desires drive us to pursue more and more evil and pleasure.

The Master's recollection of our evil He records
God remembers every detail of our sinful actions.

We have zero protection because He is keeping score
Our actions cannot protect us from God's judgment because he keeps a perfect record of them all.

It's bad for every section, there's no passing His inspection
No one can pass God's perfect standards for righteousness.

Because we're lacking the perfection that we need to be secure
Our imperfections make us unable to secure our own salvation.

Everlasting dissection: the unbeliever's reward
The punishment for unbelief is eternal separation from God.

Disaster for rejection of the truth- Jesus is Lord!
Rejecting the truth that Jesus is Lord is a disaster with eternal consequences.

God is an all-consuming fire
God's holy wrath burns with a consuming intensity.

Burning away all false desires soon
God's wrath burns away all sinful and false desires from those who believe in him.

He's gonna burn it away, the holy furnace will blaze
God's wrath will completely purify and refine his people.

Eternal the days, Somebody come on
The days of God's judgment and salvation are eternal, and we should eagerly come to him for salvation.

They're longing for mountains and rocks to be falling
Those who reject God and his salvation will long for death and destruction.

Please don't refuse the One who's calling you
We should respond to God's call to salvation and not refuse him.

We must respond to God's offer of salvation and not delay.

The Lord is speaking through His prophecies and all of His commands
God speaks through his word, both in prophecy and commandment.

Unequaled in His qualities, He's awesome and He's grand
God's character is unmatched in greatness and power.

He's regal and His policies are gloriously planed
God is a sovereign king who has perfectly planned his actions.

He's peeping the idolatry that's all over the land
God is aware of and abhors the rampant idolatry in the world.

How people in society ignore the Son of Man
Many people are ignorant of or reject Jesus as the Son of God.

By seeking their autonomy, they are caught in a trance
By pursuing their own desires and autonomy, people become enslaved to sinful thinking.

But He will put a stop to the evil and apostasy
God will end all evil and rebellion against him.

The devious hypocrisy, the fallenness of man
God will end the deception and sinfulness of humanity.

We're teaching you theology so y'all can understand
The song is intended to teach theology and help people understand God's character and actions.

According His plans: the slaughter of the damned
God will execute the wicked according to his perfect and just plans.

Unspeakable reality to fall into His hands
It is a terrifying reality to fall into the hands of the living God.

No sequels, it's finality and awful is the span
There are no second chances or do-overs when it comes to God's judgment.

No weeping or apologies, no sneakiness or bribery
No amount of weeping or apologies, sneakiness, or bribery can sway God's perfect judgment.

Will keep the Lord from honoring His law and its demands

We're pieces of His pottery- He causes us to stand
God created us like pottery and holds us up, sustaining us by his power.

Those who belong to God understand his true character and worship him as the exalted Lamb of God.

In the Bible, God's wrath- we see it openly explained
The Bible clearly explains God's righteous and holy wrath.

So mindful of its gravity, this poetry is plain
We must be aware of the gravity of God's wrath, and the song seeks to make it plain to understand.

A frightful catastrophe, His foes will be in pain
God's wrath will be a terrifying catastrophe for those who reject him.

Stifled, their anatomy and souls will be sustained
God's wrath will leave the bodies and souls of the wicked in terrible pain and suffering.

Recycled supernaturally and locally contained
God will supernaturally recycle and contain the wicked, punishing them according to his just and holy plan.

The spiteful would be glad to see God's potency restrained
The wicked would be happy if God's power and judgment were limited or restrained.

Noticeably profane, they're supposed to be ashamed
The wicked are openly and shamelessly profane, but they should be ashamed of their sinfulness.

They joke like it's a game, they're woefully deranged
The wicked treat sin like a joke and are deeply disturbed in their thinking and actions.

Maniacal, they're actually opposed to Jesus' reign
The wicked are actively opposed to Jesus' reign and reject him as Lord.

His rightful mastery of the whole of His domain
Jesus deserves to be the master and ruler of all creation.

Not tribal, but massively and globally ordained
Jesus is not the king of a mere tribe or nation, but of the entire world.

He died to make us happily devoted to His fame
Jesus died to make us joyful and willing to proclaim his name and greatness.

His rivals with their strategies, the prideful with their apathy
Those who oppose Jesus, whether through strategy or prideful apathy, will be defeated.

Their idols and their blasphemies will only see the flames
Those who worship false gods or speak blasphemy against God will face his eternal flames of judgment.

Denial of His majesty is totally insane
To deny the majesty and power of God is completely irrational.

The title of His masterpiece is 'Holy is His name'!
God's name is holy and his creation, including humanity, is his masterpiece.

God's wrath is coming, God's wrath is coming!
The song declares that God's wrath is certain and will come.

Christ is coming on the clouds, see the crowds running!
Jesus will return and his judgment will cause great fear and running.

Behold the Lamb in His might and the sight is stunning!
Jesus, the Lamb of God, will come in his awesome power and majesty.

All the wicked will be punished at the final judgment!
The wicked will face punishment at the final judgment.

He's gonna vindicate His name at the second coming!
At Jesus' second coming, God will vindicate his name and demonstrate his power and righteousness.
