I have returned, although nobody seemed to notice or care about my absence.

'Cause Christ-centered music is no longer the hot trend
Christian music that focuses on Jesus is no longer popular or trendy.

Logic says well maybe I should just stop then
Based on logical reasoning, I should consider quitting.

But I never got into this for a spot in the top ten
I never pursued this for fame or to be ranked among the best.

I do this for one reason- Jesus, the True King, son
I do this solely for the sake of Jesus, the authentic and ultimate King.

To help God's elect obey Hebrews 3:1
To aid those chosen by God in following the command of Hebrews 3:1.

And though the rap world is ever crowded
Despite the rap industry being crowded and saturated with artists.

If heaven allows it
If God permits it.

I'll keep writing for the seven thousand
I will continue to write for the small number of true believers.

I know you're out there, I still get the emails
I am aware that there are those who support and appreciate my music, as I still receive emails from them.

Against the church of Christ
In opposition to the true Church of Christ.

The gates of hell will never prevail
The powers of evil will never overcome or prevail against the Church.

It's founded on the Rock and the gospel never stops
The Church is built upon a solid foundation and the gospel message will continue without end.

So we droppin' the topic whether it's popular or not
We will continue addressing important matters, regardless of its popularity.

Sin is noxious and toxic and the clock is gonna stop
Sin is harmful and poisonous, and an end will come to its influence.

God is not to be boxed with, the wrath of God is burning hot
God cannot be constrained or restricted, and His righteous anger is intense and powerful.

We were locked in sin's closet, our conflict was cosmic
We were trapped and imprisoned by sin, and our struggle was of cosmic proportions.

God plotted to stop it, hit the demonic with a shot
God devised a plan to put an end to it, striking the demonic forces with a decisive blow.

I was coppin' narcotics, agnostic with a plot
I was involved in drug dealing, having doubts about God's existence while scheming.

No optics for the knowledge of the God who often knocked
I lacked the perception to recognize and understand the God who frequently sought after me.

Jesus rocked me with the gospel and it tied me up in knots
Jesus deeply impacted me with the gospel message, causing a profound transformation.

So I hopped in a rocket and met the Prophet at the top
I symbolically embarked on a journey to reach the highest spiritual level and encountered the Prophet, a reference to Jesus.

That's just another way of saying I met God in the Scriptures
In simpler terms, I mean I encountered God through reading and studying the Bible.

But we just gonna let that breathe for a second, you nah mean?
Let's take a moment to reflect on that statement, you know what I'm saying?

The Bible says 'He who has been forgiven much, loves much'
The Scriptures teach that those who have experienced great forgiveness also show great love.

We gonna talk about BC a little bit
Now let's discuss life before my conversion.

My depravity was total, not small like pox
My wickedness and corruption were complete, far beyond a minor illness.

I was chained to sin, I couldn't take off the locks
I was enslaved to sin, unable to break free from its grip.

I thought I was a player, a mack with the flavor
I believed I was a ladies' man, skilled and charismatic.

Say 'I know what the time is', but I ain't read Isaiah
I acted like I had knowledge and wisdom, but I was ignorant of the book of Isaiah.

I would chuckle daily as I paid for disgrace
I would laugh or find amusement in engaging in shameful behavior.

Eyes were always puffy like I got sprayed with mace
My eyes were frequently swollen, as if I had been sprayed with pepper spray.

I would toot my horn at parties and I would do bars
I would boast or show off at parties, and engage in drug use.

Got so intoxicated I was ready to do Mars
I became so heavily under the influence of drugs that I was willing to undertake any outrageous action.

Notorious for acting pretty silly in my city Philly
I gained a reputation for behaving foolishly in the city of Philadelphia.

Friends hear about it and be like 'Whoa, Did he really?'
My friends would hear about my actions and express incredulity or disbelief.

Because I played dirty Bill Laimbeer style
I engaged in questionable or unsportsmanlike behavior, similar to basketball player Bill Laimbeer.

Through great mercy Spirit-filled and dear child
By God's abundant mercy, I was filled with the Holy Spirit and became a beloved child of God.

Went from so gritty to headed to a gold city
I transitioned from living a rough and grimy lifestyle to pursuing a heavenly and glorious destination.

In Christ I shine, the world's like, 'No Biggie'
Through my union with Christ, I radiate His light, and the world responds with indifference.

Whatever- time to sing, I'm putting faith on the song
Regardless, it's time to sing and express my faith through music.

1:12 displayed in John the way to respond
The instructions given in John 1:12 serve as guidance for how to react.

When His patience runs out
When God's patience reaches its limit.

Then it's time for the rod, man
Then corrective discipline will be administered.

This refers to the sudden and intense anger of God.

That's why because of Christ I got mad joy
This is why, due to Christ, I experience an overwhelming sense of joy.

All I'm saying is I used to be a bad boy!
I simply mean to say that I used to be a rebellious and wayward individual.

But nowadays I'm regenerated
But now, I have been spiritually reborn.

Born again from above, fam, how else can I state it?
I have been completely transformed, born anew from a heavenly source.

Went from various vices to a kid that's married to Christ
I went from indulging in numerous sinful habits to being fully committed to a relationship with Christ.

Using literary devices to spit it very precise
Employing various artistic techniques to deliver my message with accuracy and skill.

My conversion to the Master was so dramatic
My conversion experience with the Lord was incredibly striking and profound.

I just wanted to be an ambassador or fanatic
I had a strong desire to represent Christ as His ambassador or fervent follower.

The gospel was my tonic- With Christ I couldn't lose
The gospel served as my remedy and source of strength, ensuring victory in Christ.

But to walk with God like Enoch
However, to have a close and intimate relationship with God, resembling that of Enoch.

I knew I couldn't cruise
I understood that simply coasting along without effort was insufficient.

This walk is a beast but nothing's greater than the cross
This journey of faith is challenging, but nothing surpasses the significance of the cross.

Saw the Mark of the East and the Raiders of the Lost
I recognized the symbolic presence of the Messiah (Mark) and the pursuit of truth (Raiders of the Lost Ark).

While Tower Records was choosing to carry G-Unit
While Tower Records, a music retailer, made the decision to sell G-Unit's albums.

I was on that Revolutionary Theme Musik
I was focused on creating music that upheld revolutionary themes or ideas.

The brothers from the Lou held it down as well
The artists from St. Louis in the hip-hop scene also maintained their commitment.

But we noticed a big shift in 2012
However, we observed a significant change occurring in the year 2012.

Around the period when Jackie, presumably someone I know, inquired about Calvinism.

Christian Hip-hop found a different algorithm
Christian hip-hop started to follow a different set of rules or principles.

And crossed over without taking the cross over
They successfully achieved mainstream success without compromising their Christian values.

Made us all sober -- years later, is it all over?
This made us all more serious and reflective -- now, after several years, is it the end?

Trip asked me if I was still motivated
Trip, presumably another individual, inquired whether I was still motivated.

I was quiet, but I wanted to say 'No, I hate it'
I remained silent, but internally, I desired to express my dislike or dissatisfaction.

Because brothers in your camp causing lots of confusion
Because certain individuals in your group are causing significant confusion.

I love them as brothers in Christ, but not their conclusions
I care for them as fellow believers, but I do not agree with their conclusions.

They wanna reach the world? By all means keep pursuing it
If they desire to impact the world, they should continue striving for it.

But tell me, why they gotta diss the church
However, I question why they feel the need to criticize or disrespect the church.

While they're doing it?
Why do they engage in such behavior while carrying out their mission?

That's what I wanted to say, but I ain't say it though
That's what I actually wanted to express, but I chose not to speak up.

But no more laying low, I want them to play it slow
But I am no longer keeping silent and urging them to proceed with caution.

And I ain't dissing them, my prayers are the proof
I am not disrespecting them; my prayers demonstrate my genuine concern.

Like Boaz without Ruth is unity without truth
Unity without truth is akin to Boaz without his wife Ruth, lacking completeness.

Chh is like gorillas in the mist
Christian hip-hop is comparable to gorillas concealed within a foggy environment.

With no brotherly love, it's like Philly don't exist
Without genuine love among one another, it feels as if brotherhood does not exist.

What's happening here? It's a different atmosphere
I question what is occurring in this context, as it feels noticeably different.

Cats appear most concerned about a rap career
Individuals predominantly appear to be focused on pursuing a successful rap career.

Brother overseas being slain in the sand
Meanwhile, our fellow believers in foreign lands are being killed in acts of violence.

While we're vain in our plans seeking fame and some fans
At the same time, we are consumed with prideful aspirations, desiring fame and a following.

And I ain't got time to philosophize
I do not have the luxury of pondering profound philosophical ideas.

Satan got a plot devised
Satan has devised a scheme or plan.

I'm seeing lots of guys apostatize
I am witnessing many individuals renounce or abandon their faith.

On top of all that, Donald Trump's the president
Furthermore, Donald Trump is serving as the president.

It's all good though, cause Jesus trumps the president
However, it is not a cause for concern, as Jesus surpasses the significance of any political leader.

So more than ever, I'm trying to rep the Lord who bled
Now more than ever, I am determined to represent and proclaim the Lord who shed His blood.

And we ain't never gonna stop, word to Corey Red!
And we will never cease in our mission, expressing gratitude to Corey Red!

I'm just trying to give a healthy demonstration
I am simply attempting to provide a positive and beneficial example.

Of theocentric music for the selfie generation
Of music that is centered on God for the current generation obsessed with self-image.

You see the problem is sin, no riddle in it
The root issue is sin, and there is no mystery or puzzle involved.

'Cause all sin got 'I' in the middle of it
Because every sin has the letter 'I' in its center, representing our self-centeredness.

We're mad depraved and truly evil
We are extremely corrupted and inherently wicked.

We need to be born again without a Matt Damon movie sequel
We must experience a spiritual rebirth, unrelated to any movie sequel featuring Matt Damon.

In the gospel, God addresses our depravity
In the gospel, God confronts and deals with our deeply flawed nature.

The Lamb slain at Calvary, the depths of His agony
Referring to Jesus, who was sacrificed on the cross at Calvary and experienced great suffering.

He rose from the grave with abundant grace
He triumphed over death by resurrecting from the grave, displaying His overflowing grace.

So when we come in faith-
Therefore, when we approach God with faith.

He'll bring us up from the 'sunken place'
He will lift us out from the depths of despair or spiritual darkness.

Our sin's decrepit depths left a mess
The deep and ruinous state of our sin has caused great disorder.

No rest was left 'til Jesus put death to death
There was no peace or relief until Jesus conquered and overcame death.

The beauty of the victory truly is a mystery
The splendor and triumph of this victory is genuinely awe-inspiring and elusive.

The cross of Jesus Christ is at the nucleus of history
The central and most significant event in history is the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Before the cross they were saved on credit
Prior to Jesus' crucifixion, salvation was experienced on credit or in anticipation.

After the cross, we've been saved on debit
Since the crucifixion, we have received the full benefits of salvation.
