2) ShannoN - Hard Rock band from France
Olivier Del Valle - vocals
Patrice Louis - guitars
Nicolas Fixy - bass
Benjamin Bergerolle - drums
Thierry Dagnicourt - keyboards
Formed in the beginning of 1998 by Patrice LOUIS (Guitar) and Thierry DAGNICOURT (Keyboards), SHANNON plays a melodic hard rock that sticks to the skin. During the spring of 1998, the band enroles ex-JANNYLEE's singer Olivier DEL VALLE behind the mike, then Claude THILL (ex-DER KAISER) playing bass and Maxence PILO (ex-HEAVENLY) at the drum kit join the band to finally complete the line-up. Their debut and eponymous album (Shannon, released in November 2003 on the Anvilcorp. label and distributed by Wagram has been unanimously praised and regarded by the international press as one of the most impressive and brilliant record of the year in the Classic 80's US melodic rock style. With catchy hook lines, infectious choruses and a groovy and powerful rhythm section, SHANNON is the perfect alchemy between classic US melodic hard rock and typical European influenced NWOBHM sound, delivering a music as powerful as melodic. After the release of the album, the band takes the road and shares the stage with renowned artists such as Axxis, PINK CREAM 69 and Jeff Scott SOTO in Paris. In the middle of 2005, SHANNON sees its first line-up changes with the departure of Claude and Maxence, immediately replaced by, respectively, Nicolas FIXY (Bass) and Benjamin BERGEROLLE (Drums), both formerly in French epic-progressive TAÏ PHONG. Strongly encouraged with the success of their self-titled album, not only in France, but widely abroad, the band has taken the way to the studio to record, more motivated than ever. WORLD OF DESIRE, a 5-track demo EP, was released in 2007. SHANNON played several shows to present the new songs and was selected to play before GOTTHARD at the RAISMES FESTIVAL. Some special guests are invited and did some backing vocals (Gianni PONTILLO, Ben SOTTO, Ben VENET, Bruno LEVESQUE, Jens WALKENHORST) and a duet with Renaud HANTSON was recorded. The band signed with ArtistService at the end of 2007 and Angel In Disguise, the brand new album, even more powerful than their debut, is world wide distributed by MusicBuyMail. Never missing an opportunity to play live, the band played eventually at the PARIS METAL FRANCE FESTIVAL. After been part of the September nights open air festival with Axxis and Krokus, the band shall soon be back to the studios to record their 3rd album, Circus Of Lost Souls, released in 2013.

As soon as we started to move.
The music played while our bodies displayed through the dance,
Then love picked us out for romance.
I thought it was clear
The plan was we would share,
This feeling just between ourselves.
But when the music changed
The plan was re-arranged
He went to dance with someone else.
We started dancing and love put us into a groove
But now he's with somebody new
What does love want me to do?
Love said:
Let the music play
He won't get away,
Just keep the groove and then he'll come back to you again, let it play.
Let the music play
He won't get away,
This groove he can't ignore, he won't leave you anymore, no, no, no.
He tried pretending a dance is just a dance, but I see
He's dancing his way back to me.
Guess he's discovered we are truly lovers,
Magic from the very start, 'cause love just kept me groovin',
And he felt me movin' even though we danced apart.
So we started dancing and love put us into the groove
As soon as we started to move, as soon as we started to move.
Love said:
Let the music play
He won't get away,
Just keep the groove and then he'll come back to you again, let it play.
Let the music play
He won't get away,
This groove he can't ignore, he won't leave you anymore, no, no, no.
He tried pretending a dance is just a dance, but I see
He's dancing his way back to me
He's dancing his way back to me

The song "Let the music play" describes the story of two people who fell in love on the dance floor but were separated by another person. The song speaks about how love and dance can be intertwined, and how music can keep someone's heart and body close to another person despite any obstacles.
The lyrics start by describing how love put them into a groove on the dance floor. They both started to dance and express their love through their movements. The rhythm of the music made them feel like they were meant to be together. However, things took a turn when the music changed, and the person they were dancing with went to dance with someone else. They explained what they thought was a clear understanding between them that they would share their feelings just between themselves. Love wanted the person to believe that if they just kept the music playing, their love interest would return to them eventually.
The chorus of the song is where love takes over and guides the person. Love says that if they want the person back, they must continue to do what they love, which is to dance. Love says to let the music play and that once they keep the groove, they will return. They must believe that the other person would not get away and that this groove is something they can't ignore. Love makes the person believe that if they just hold on and continue to dance, the person will not leave them anymore.
