Sharon lives with Robert Westerholt, the guitarist of Within Temptation. The couple have a daughter, Eva Luna (b. 2005) and son Robin Aiden (b. 2009).
Together with Robert she set up the band Within Temptation in 1996. Since then Robert plays guitar, did the male vocals with Sharon performing the female vocals.
