I was having an unusually rough day yesterday when I heard this song for the first time. I had been crying as painful memories of a lost love crept in. This song made me cry more but not because of the memories. It made me cry because it allowed me to call out to God with an honest heart and reminded me that HE is the only one that matters. Amen Laura, I remember breaking up with someone I'd really thought was going to be the one. I was walking down the beach half crying and full angry with God about why He allowed this to happen....again!! Through tears I saw the glistening of the sun reflecting on the water near the shore edge and I was amazed. Then something made me decide to look at the Casuarina pines that fringed the sand further away. As I did, i God simply burst through my thoughts with the words, "I'm the creator!!" It was incredible as looked in amazement at the symmetry of the tree needles touching the breeze. So God was removing my doubt that he didn't know and he basically was reminding me that He is greater than all my pain and longing anger and tears and this was enough to bring me into a state of incredible appreciation and joy. Now it still took time to stop thinking of the person is lost but I knew that it would pass and I've day be irrelevant in eternity. Thanks for sharing your thought... from chaos to creation! See you in heaven or day!

I am a member of Lakewood and during prayer time, when the prayer partner asks me what to pray for, I always say... I want to be closer to God.... I love this song for that reason. It reminds me that God does listen to my prayers, thanks for this song.
