His first work for Atlus was on the collaborative soundtrack to 1996's Persona, where, among other things, he composed the theme of the Velvet Room. He would then move onto bigger roles by composing half of the soundtrack to Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, and a nearly solo effort for the Dreamcast slasher Maken X.

However, he began his rise to prominence in the game music scene for his work on Atlus's PlayStation 2 Megami Tensei games, beginning with Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne in 2003. He would quickly follow up with the guitar-laden Digital Devil Saga and its more electronic oriented sequel, along with Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army. He attained more wide acclaim for his pop-imbued soundtracks for Persona 3 and Persona 4. More recent Shin Megami Tensei works include Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon, both directorial and arranger duties for the PSP remake of the first Persona, new tracks for the PSP port of Persona 3, and dark original compositions for the latest in the main Megami Tensei series, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.

He has also composed music for the Trauma series, including Under the Knife and its remake, Second Opinion, along with contributions to its spiritual sequel Trauma Team. Upcoming projects include an original soundtrack for Atlus' dream-induced mystery game Catherine, and arrangements for a PSP port of Persona 2: Innocent Sin which, like PSP Persona 1, Meguro will also be overseeing as director.

Before the original instrumental vid got taken down I remember commenting there. Talking about how this song used to play and loop in my local middle school cafe and how it was such a vibe to hear after school, finishing up studies and coming over to grab some coffee and delicious instant noodles while playing mobile games with friends, before the place unfortunately shut down due to the building simply seeing no use, therefore getting demolished. The lyrics of this song are actually kinda sad, being chained down, and not only not being able to live without your "mask", but having "no face to show" at all. There's something haunting about having nothing under the mask you show to the world. Just pure emptiness, "a cage of bones," a husk of a human being. I dated this girl for awhile about a month but talked for 3 and we had a great time with each other. she understood me, accepted me, showed me to her friends, let me stay at her house whenever we hung out, accepted me for who I was. but there would be bumps in the road because of me. I want someone to hold and love but at the same time I love being single and flirting around showing that I’m a lone wanderer doing what I want with a secret loneliness sinking feeling. I feel as if I let go of a great beautiful girl and potentially the one even though it wasn’t for long I felt as if it was a real connection and relationship. What should I do? it has only been a week since she broke it off and I think she has been seeing other guys to forget about me but on my end all the girls I was talking to her behind her back haven’t been the same I’m alone now. I deserve this but it really does mess with my feelings being hypercritical about seeing and imagining her with another guy by my own doing. I want to love without thinking about other girls but I just can’t be loyal I need help but I will not tell anyone since I like to hide my emotions. Since I’m anonymous on here I’ll spill it but I hope someone see’s where I’m coming from, I did wrong but I want to correct and be with her but at the same time I don’t hmm it’s weird wanting two things at once.
