Shape
Shugababes ft. Sting Lyrics

And those he plays never suspect
He doesn't play for the money he wins
He don't play for respect
He deals the cards to find the answer
The sacred geometry of chance
The hidden law of a probable outcome
I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart
He may play the jack of diamonds
He may lay the queen of spades
He may conceal a king in his hand
While the memory of it fades
I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart
That's not the shape
The shape of my heart
If I told her that I loved you
You'd maybe think there's something wrong
I'm not a man of too many faces
The mask I wear is one
But those who speak know nothing
And find out to their cost
Like those who curse their luck in too many places
And those who fear are lost
I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart
That's not the shape of my heart
That's not the shape
The shape of my heart
The song "Shape" by Shugababes ft. Sting is a song that describes the game of cards as a form of meditation. The song refers to the player as someone who doesn't play for money or respect, but instead to find the answer to life's questions through the art of gambling. The song is written in a metaphorical way, where the sacred geometry of chance, the hidden law of probable outcome, and the numbers that lead a dance represent the mysteries of life.
The chorus of the song highlights that the spades, clubs, and diamonds represent different things in the game of cards. For example, spades are the swords of a soldier, clubs are weapons of war, and diamonds represent money. However, the shape of the main character's heart is not defined by the game of cards or its meanings. The main character's heart has its shape, its feelings, and its desires, which cannot be defined by the game.
The song also suggests that people who speak know nothing, and those who fear are lost. The mask that the main character wears represents the different faces that people put on to hide their true self, and the song suggests that those who never take off the mask and reveal their true selves are the ones who miss out on the most in life.

Love this version of the song its awesome, original song is great too but personally I think this one is better, but for some reason I (dont know from where) got in my cpu a version of this song that I think is exactly this one (sugababes version) but it starts with some kind of rap in the intro (while the lil guitar riff plays) and its even better but I cant find it anywhere here in youtube! If anyone has the version Im talking about and knows if there's any vid here of it tell me! :)
