She is known from the Swedish television show Idol 2005, where she was the second runner up. She was also a semifinalist of Idol 2004, where she placed fourth in her group but didn't make it to the finals.Before she joined the show she lived in Kristianstad, Sweden. She was in the background vocals for the 2009 hit single "It's Alright, It's OK" by Ashley Tisdale.

Yeah, it's not from the US. But even in the US such songs rarely become popular unless they're sung by big names. Market promotion is really important in today's music scene. :( Pity since a lot of talent is looked over if they aren't lucky enough to make it big (since luck plays a huge part). :(

Yeah, turk wasn't originally meant to be an ethnicity according to Turkey's founder (Atatürk) but we still have a bunch of people born outside Turkey calling themselves turks... which is both funny and sad at the same time. Because people still do this we can still call her an "ethnic turk" though, not that I see her as one. But chances are she won't see herself as completely Swedish (:() so it has to be done...
