After about a year or so Marcuss left side walk slam for personal reason. David replaced him on vocals and they recorded one more album with Neil Endicott stepping up in place of Davids old back ground. David Curtis also has participated in his own solo project which was slightly short lived.
Summer of 2006 showed a new side with a new name which is now Run Kid Run with all the same band members.

Side Walk Slam Lyrics

Is it something that I lack
That's keeping me from having full control?
Go ten feet then go a mile, thinking is this all worth while?
I better pick it up before I lose
here we come. there we go.
Night after night. show after show.
Fight after fight. blow after blow.
final battles never won. going in with loaded guns
Maybe I don't have artillery
At first, I thought I was so right.
I'm thinking now give up the fight.
I better stop ahead before I lose.
The opening line of Two steps forward, five steps back sets the tone for Side Walk Slam’s internal struggle with control and progress. The singer is questioning what is hindering their ability to move forward and have full control of their life. The following line, “Go ten feet then go a mile, thinking is this all worth while?” suggests the difficulty in finding reassurance that their efforts are worth the uphill battle. Despite the internal struggle, the singer pushes themselves forward, knowing that they must pick up their pace before it’s too late.
The chorus of Night After Night has a sense of urgency and energy, akin to the life of a touring musician. The line “Here we come. There we go. Night after night. Show after show,” reflects the excitement of the touring lifestyle, but also the grind of constant travel and performance. The lyrics “Seeking sense. Pull us in. Fight after fight. Blow after blow” suggest that the pressures of their success bring challenges along with it. The final line, “Final battles never won. Going in with loaded guns” depict the constant struggles that come with life, where victory may not always be possible, and having the right tools and mindset may not always guarantee a win.
Overall, Night After Night conveys the ups and downs of life on the road as a touring musician, with its themes of control, progress, and perseverance.
