I desperately hope that when MGS is next run at GDQ, the runner says something to the effect of:
"All right, this next part coming up is pretty new. Most people will tell you that it's either the Boba skip or Kevin, but they're actually slightly different. We're going to do Kevin - have to do something very important right after we get through the door. So we're here, we get shot, and here we go... and as we load in now...

They know it because they theorized it could be done and they knew how much of the run could be skipped if it could be done. They just hadn't seen someone trigger a loading zone through big knockback because this is literally the only door in the entire game like this, presumably because of the quirks of whatever logic the game is using to prevent that door from opening despite having the correct key.

bit flips cant be replicated tho....

the boba skip works because the hitbox of snake momentarily gets bigger after taking damage, and when positioned at the right angle, clips thru the door and tricks the game into thinking that snake walked thru the loading zone

for the sm64 bit flip, it was a once in a lifetime moment that could never be phesibly replicated.
