Referring to their influences, most of their songs are based on riffs covered with distortion and overflowing echoes. They describe their sound as "bringing a high gain amplifier and drums into a cave".
The basslines are almost progressive but raw and primitive at the same time, the drumming moves fierce and violent on high tempo and in a sudden could turn calm into a drowning bluesy beats, while the vocals sounded like chants and moans, obviously affected by Plant and Ozzy . while they altogether religiously worshiped the Zeppelin and the Sabbath, each member also have their own musical background. Mirfak have always been a fan of the grunge god Nirvana, the highspeed aggression of Motorhead and anything masculine, while Jono is a heavy metal geek who embrace the holy father Dio , Iron Maiden and the uncanny Uriah Heep. Haikal adores the psychedelic echoes and progressions of Pink Floyd, the complexions of Robert Fripp and the zestful spirit of Jack Whites screech, Tama on the other hand has always been a disciple of Brad Wilk, and praises the likes of Sunn O))) and YOB.
Their interest in Sigmund Freud concepts of unconscious mind and their love for the whimsical world of surrealism are evidently showing in their lyrics. enjoying the exploration of absurdism and juxtaposition in their writings, Dali, Magritte and Chirico might have influenced them as much as Page and Iommi did, paintings made out of hazy poetry and heavy echoed chords.

Behelit
Sigmun Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Waiting for the moment to arrive
Lure you to your darkest desire
Awaken by the touch of your despair
Behelit
The angels of vengeance arrive
Walking on the written crooked line
Shedding the tears of blood
Stray you away from God
In Sigmun's song "Behelit," the lyrics delve into themes of darkness, desire, and the consequences of one's choices. The opening line, "Hiding from the light of your eyes, waiting for the moment to arrive," suggests a sense of anticipation, as if the singer is intentionally avoiding facing a truth or hiding from their own self-reflection. They are biding their time until a crucial moment arrives, potentially indicating a turning point or revelation.
The lyrics then mention being lured into one's "darkest desire" and being awakened by the touch of despair. This could imply that the singer is tempted by their own inner demons or indulging in unhealthy desires which ultimately bring them pain. It speaks to the idea that sometimes we succumb to our own weaknesses and find ourselves grappling with the consequences.
The chorus, "Behelit, the angels of vengeance arrive," alludes to an ancient artifact known as the Behelit, which appears in the manga and anime series "Berserk." The Behelit is a talisman associated with darkness and is said to be able to summon otherworldly beings for revenge. By referencing this, the song suggests a sense of retribution or facing the consequences of one's actions.
The second verse speaks to being "chosen by design" and walking on a "written crooked line." This implies that the singer's path has been predetermined or manipulated by external forces. The mention of "shedding tears of blood" suggests a profound sense of sorrow or anguish, potentially signifying the sacrifices made along this twisted path. Additionally, the lyrics mention being led astray from God, indicating a loss of faith or alignment with a higher power.
Overall, "Behelit" by Sigmun is a song that explores the themes of temptation, darkness, and the repercussions of one's choices. It portrays a journey where one is pulled towards their darkest desires, only to face the consequences of their actions.
