@Tildi Bu you can not beat Garfunkels voice in Bridge Over Troubled Water. That will go down in history as one of best vocals ever.
Not to say that I don't like Paul's sweet voice. It fit this song perfectly, and I wouldn't imagine Garfunkel singing this.

I guess "Bridge" is their signature song, and Art's vocals weigh in as much as Paul's writing. I believe they had equal input in the production too? That song is a gift.
But "Song for the Asking" is so simple, so beautiful, it rates right up there with "Bridge ". A too often overlooked joy. And with no disrespect to Paul, I would love to hear Art and two other of my faves vocalists all having had recorded this gem. The arrangement is simple perfection. Lovely.

The last song on the last Simon and Garfunkel has only Paul singing. Art does not contribute so much as backing vocal. Maybe this was Paul Simon's way of saying, "Don't call me, Art, I'll call you."
