I Have a Dream
Singers/The Showtime Orchestra and Singers Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream, I have a dream

I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness still another mile
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream, I have a dream
I'll cross the stream, I have a dream

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me

I'll cross the stream, I have a dream
I'll cross the stream, I have a dream

0:29 "I'll always be by your side" (Emu & Rui)
0:39 "Follow the shooting star, our starting signal" (Tsukasa & Nene)

These lines represent what the dreams of the WonderShow members really are.
Emu and Rui's line represents how their dream is to keep performing with their troupe (in the Wonderstage), just like they always have.
Tsukasa and Nene's line represents how unlike Emu and Rui, their dream is to become famous and move on to bigger stages.

I'm pretty sure that I was the only one who mentioned this but 1:10 "The day's I've spent with you - I'll treasure that time forever" sounds like a goodbye? It's something you'd say when you see your friends for one last time, like in a graduation where you and your friends are forced to move onto your own lives, exactly like something WonderShow is still learning to do.
This poses some serious questions about the future of WonderShow. If they all want to achieve their own dreams, they'll have to seperate.

On _zui_'s colour coded lyrics for Hoshizora no Orchestra, a commenter by the name of 夢帝 said a very interesting quote. "the emurui "i'll be always by your side" meaning their desire for the group be together but knowing theyd one day walk apart and nenekasa "following the shooting star, its signal to start" meaning them following their dreams and eventually separate to become biggers, its a bittersweet song about growing up and the possibility of not following the same path yet they would be always together by heart."

I think it's really interesting to think about how they could try to stay together.
It's also sad, like, really sad. If they disband 60% of Project Sekai players would probably leave since they're the second most popular unit (second to Nightcord), and since most of the fandom found out about it because of funny little pink wonderhoy girl.

The lyrics are sweet, in some parts, yes. But I think it's more bittersweet just like most WonderShow songs when you think about it.

SORRY FOR THE ANNOYINGLY LONG ANALYSIS! This is just what I do when I find a song with theorising material written inside it.

This song kinda gives like an ending energy (idk what to call it so) where they just dance/end credits roll in before the curtain closes on the performance after finishing...
