Walk You Home
Sir Chloe Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Faded lips, red
Down your chin bled when you watched him go
Swear he saw you
In the crowd and didn't say hello

Just a pretty girl with a shotglass
In your sunday dress and coat
I find you in the bathroom like that
Help you up and say hello

I've been around the block
And i see you cry a lot
Can i walk you home

I've been around the block
And i see you cry a lot
Can i walk you home

Don't know your name yet
But your head's still resting on my arm
Subway fly by
On the green line no one does you harm

Just a pretty girl with a shotglass
In your mothers borrowed shoes
I find you in the bathroom like that
So what else you got to lose

I've been around the block
And i see you cry a lot
Can i walk you home

I've been around the block
And i see you cry a lot
Can i walk you home

I've been around the block
And i see you cry a lot
Can i walk you home

I've been around the block
And i see you cry a lot
Can i walk you home

I've been around the block
And i see you cry a lot
Can i walk you home

I've been around the block

And i see you cry a lot
Can i walk you home

Overall Meaning

In Sir Chloe's song "Walk You Home," the lyrics paint a picture of a girl who has been left with a broken heart. She's at a party, drowning her sorrows in alcohol, and trying to forget about the boy who broke her heart. The image of her "faded lips, red" with blood on her chin reveals that she's been crying and is clearly upset. At this same party, she sees her ex-boyfriend in the crowd, but he doesn't say hello, leaving her feeling even more alone.

The second verse continues to describe the girl's state: she's lost and doesn't know what to do. She's still carrying the remnants of her heartbreak and floundering around the party unsure of what to do next. She's clearly seeking solace in alcohol and within herself, which is when the singer of the song comes in. The chorus then features the singer's offer to walk the girl home, offering a glimmer of hope in the midst of her heartbreak.

The song's lyrics capture a universal experience: the feeling of being heartbroken and alone at a party, trying to find solace in whatever we can. Walk You Home shows that there's always someone who cares and wants to help in those tough moments.

this is the kind of music that gives you spontaneous tears. you aren't really crying, and you aren't sad or happy, but the music starts and your eyes start to water.
