Deliver Me
Sister Bliss Lyrics

Deliver me from my madness,
Deliver me with the courage to get free,
Deliver me from the the strength I got inside me
Deliver me...
All of my life I′ve been in hiding,
Deliver me
All of my life I've been in hiding,
Hidden in my own soul,
Now that you're here, now that I′ve found U
Now I know you′re the 1 to pull me thru
Deliver me,
Save me, deliver me,
Save me, deliver me,
Ow, yeah, deliver me.
The lyrics of Sister Bliss's song Deliver Me express the singer's deep desire to be delivered from their sadness and madness into a place of freedom, courage and joy. The repeated phrase "deliver me" functions as a plea, as if the singer is calling out to a higher power, whether that be a person, a spiritual figure or the universe itself, to rescue them from their emotional pain and guide them towards happiness.
Throughout the first verse, the singer seems to be addressing the source of their sadness and madness directly, asking to be freed from it. However, it's not entirely clear what this source is; it could be an addiction, a mental health condition or a past trauma that the singer has been trying to repress. Regardless, the second verse confirms that the singer has been "hiding" from whatever is causing them pain, and that their newfound connection with someone else (presumably a romantic partner) has given them the courage to face it head-on.
As the song progresses, the repetition of "deliver me" becomes more urgent and impassioned, as if the singer is reaching a breaking point and desperately needs to be saved. The final lines of the song, "Save me, deliver me, Ow, yeah, deliver me," are particularly emotive, conveying a sense of anguish and vulnerability.
Overall, the lyrics of Deliver Me are a powerful evocation of the human need for connection, healing and redemption, and the lengths we will go to find those things when we feel lost.
