She started her career in 2001 when she was one of the contenders in the television show Starmaker. She was part of K-otic, a band which had been formed during the casting show.
After several successes, Sita left the band and recorded three studio albums Happy in 2001, Come With Me in 2003 and L'envers du décor in 2004.
Over the years she collaborate with serveral artist like Marco Borsato and Kyo.

In "Twisted," Sita reflects on a failed relationship in which she had been mistreated and taken advantage of.The song begins with Sita pointing out her partner's audacity for showing up after everything that he had put her through. He had called her crazy in the past and she had had enough. Sita reinforces that she is standing her ground and is not going to cry any tears over their breakup. She is done with him and he is not going to save her, even if he tries. Sita likes to emphasize that she is not his baby and that he cannot manipulate her anymore. The chorus is where the title comes in, she uses the word "twisted" to describe how he had manipulated her thoughts, feelings, and love. The lyrics further elaborate on how twisted he was by saying that he had taken her heart and mind and twisted them with his lies and manipulation. Sita knows that he mistreated her, and her partner was the one who was wrong, not her.
In the second verse, Sita explains how now that she has found out the truth about what was going on, it is clear that he was the one who was in the wrong. She further asserts her position by saying that it was his screw that was loose, and he was the one with his neck in the noose. The bridge of the song changes the tone slightly by saying that she needs to focus on something new and different because things have been too much of the same. Sita believes that in changing herself, she can turn things around and find a new dimension.
