Upon leaving Morcheeba, Edwards was replaced by Daisy Martey (formerly of Noonday Underground) as the band's vocalist. (Martey was subsequently criticised by fans for sounding too much like Skye. She did not tour with the band following the release of their first album with her, The Antidote, her place being taken by Jody Sternberg.)
Edwards is signed to Atlantic Records UK. Her debut solo album, Mind How You Go was released on February 27th, 2006.

2010: With "Blood Like Lemonade" Skye is firmly back in place. According to Skye "it all happened quite by chance". After seven years, she bumped into Ross Godfrey at her manager's office. They gave each other a big hug, had a chat, and this led to the brother's asking Skye (through their manager) if she would be interested in singing a few songs on their new record. Skye's immediate thought was "Nope", but she thought about it a bit, they had a meal together, "got pretty drunk" and agreed "lets make another Morcheeba record".

And your fist are clenched so tight
Keeping secrets
Screw you
That's what you would love to say
And you'd kick 'em out the way
But instead you're silent
But what if for one day
Just one time
Maybe you might try
Might try to
Scream it
If something isn't right
Tell somebody else
What you fear
What you're feeling
Scream it
Don't keep it to yourself
All of the rocks you got on your mind
Go to the top and throw them down one by one
Poor me
That's you drinking once again
'Cause it helps you to pretend
When you say it's alright
Save me
That's you're feeling so alone
Going through this on your own
You don't have to
So what if for one day
Just one time
Maybe you might try
Might try to
Scream it
If something isn't right
Tell somebody else
What you fear
What you're feeling
Scream it
Don't keep it to yourself
All of the rocks you got on your mind
Go to the top and throw them down one by one
Throw them down one by one
Boo hoo
That's you crying
Scream it
Don't keep it to yourself
Scream it
If something isn't right
Tell somebody else
What you fear
What you're feeling
Scream it
Don't keep it to yourself
All of the rocks you got on your mind
Go to the top and throw them down one by one
Throw them down one by one
Boo hoo
That's you crying in the night
And your fist are clenched so tight
Keeping secrets
The lyrics to Skye's song "Boo Hoo" are centered around the theme of speaking up and communicating deep thoughts and emotions. In the first verse, Skye describes someone who is crying and keeping secrets - someone who is holding everything in and not speaking out about what they are going through. The second verse is more of a call to action, saying that instead of remaining silent, the person should try to speak up more and scream out what they are feeling. The chorus is a repetition of this message, urging the person to throw all of the rocks they have in their mind down one by one and let out a scream.
Throughout the song, Skye highlights how important it is to release pent up emotions and not keep them locked away. The phrase "Boo Hoo" is used ironically, mocking the idea that crying or showing vulnerability is weak or unimportant. Instead, the song encourages the listener to embrace their emotions and be willing to share them with others.
In summary, "Boo Hoo" is a powerful song that encourages the listener to speak up and communicate their thoughts and feelings. The lyrics highlight the importance of releasing emotions and not keeping them bottled up inside.
