While some subsequent Sleep Station albums have been recorded with a full band (After the War, The Pride of Chester James), others have essentially been David Debiak solo albums (Von Cosel, The Blood of Our Our Fathers), featuring very little, if any, instrumentation other than David Debiak's own guitar playing.
Sleep Station is known for its concept albums; to date, all Sleep Station releases have called "rock operas" by some critics. David Debiak himself, however, has stated that he is not trying to tell a story in his songs, stating in a MySpace bulletin "Every record I have done as Sleep Station has been thematic in its nature, not trying to tell a story but just create a mood". Unconventional love affairs and war are common lyrical themes in Sleep Station's music.
Following the release of the album After the War in 2004, Sleep Station went on hiatus, with David Debiak starting a side project, New London Fire, with his brother Jason Debiak.
In 2008, Sleep Station returned from hiatus with the album The Pride of Chester James, an album about a fictional circus drifter who shows up in a small town.
Fallen
Sleep Station Lyrics

The lyrics to Sleep Station's song "Fallen" explore the themes of miscommunication, regret, and loss. The singer laments the fact that they have let someone go, possibly due to a misunderstanding, and reflects on how the person they have lost has impacted others. The phrase "reading the plans" suggests that there was a plan in place that went awry, and the person they let go ended up hurting others before falling themselves.
The second verse takes a more introspective turn as the singer considers the impact of their actions on the person they let go. They describe the person as "lost and very scared", suggesting that perhaps they were struggling and in need of help, but the singer was unable to provide it. The line "unveiled the sunlight in your prayer" could be interpreted as the singer finally understanding what the person they lost was going through, but too late to do anything about it.
Overall, the lyrics of "Fallen" convey a sense of regret and sorrow for missed opportunities and miscommunications. The imagery of falling carries a sense of inevitability and finality, suggesting that the person they lost may not be coming back.

Oh no seems that I have let you go.
Realizing that I have lost you and it's too late to change anything.
Oh no, it seems that I have misunderstood where you are, and reading the plans, you have missed it.
I was not aware of your actual intentions, and from what I can see, you weren't aware of them either.
You've hit everyone right between the eyes, like you knew you were on the run, and you have fallen some, you have fallen some.
In your attempt to escape, you have hurt those close to you, and now you are suffering the consequences.
Now that I have unveiled the sunlight in your prayer - the dwindling that has left you there.
I have finally found out the truth about what you have been going through by looking beyond what you showed on the surface.
Lost and very scared, lost and very scared..
You are overwhelmed with feelings of confusion and fear.
