1. Sloppy Seconds… Read Full Bio ↴There are two bands using the name Sloppy Seconds.
1. Sloppy Seconds are a Punk Rock band from Indianapolis. Their story began in 1985 at a weekend-long house party when singer B.A., bassist Bo'ba Jam, drumĀmer Steve Sloppy, and guitarist Danny Roadkill (later replaced by Ace Hardwhere) set down their beers long enough to massacre a few cover tunes and wake up their neighbors.
After a short spell honing their original material and live intensity, the Sloppys released the debut album "Destroyed" in 1990. With each new release they have carved out a niche that targets themes close to their hearts: porn stars, parties, junk food, TV re-runs, beer blasts, comic books, strippers, B-Movies, 70's nostalgia, 80's cynicism, and 90's complacency.
2. Sloppy Seconds are a pair of non-dimensional time rabbits who strive to disolve notions of time and space through a 'sonic smudge' of intense noise coupled with visceral performance rituals. Named 1.7 and 5.2, these two rabbits deal with ideas of serialisation, subjectivity, shamanism, and quantum ontology, with a focus on creating a conflict and resolution within individual audience members regarding everything they believe to be true. Individual appearences are always different in form, but this simple thread of destroying time and space is present in all of their performances. Actions to date have included the smashing of clocks, the folding of paper, the defacing of maps, etc. Their sound has been compared to the likes of Drums Not Dead-era Liars, Lightning Bolt, Boredoms etc.
Active primarily in London, UK, they released Spit or Swallow? on Colour Ride in late 2008 and have played with Talibam!, Clunes, Horse Vomit, BBBlood, Team Brick, Cementimental, Kong, Selfish Cunt and others.

A young wanna-be and an old has-been
I wish I had a photo of this scene
I've suffered through dependencies
I still have violent tendencies
I could sell my life to "People Magazine"
But I don't care; I don't mind
I won't forget the way you let me down
But I've gone underground
So don't come any closer
I might kick you in the nuts
Can't place your face
Can't stand your band
I hate your guts
It's just like Andy Warhol said
Fifteen minutes and a kick in the head
I hope you don't want sympathy from me
There was I time I worshipped you
But now I scrape you off my shoe
I guess that's just the way it's meant to be
And you didn't care, so don't pretend
'Cause you weren't there; you weren't my friend
In the end my only friend's a loaded gun
And I hate everyone
So don't come any closer
I might kick you in the nuts
Can't place your face
Can't stand your band
I hate your guts
Don't come any closer
Don't come any closer
Don't come any closer
Don't come any closer to me
The lyrics of Sloppy Seconds's song āUndergroundā address feelings of disappointment, betrayal, and resentment towards someone who was presumably once important to the singer. The song describes the encounter between a āyoung wanna-beā and an āold has-been,ā both of whom have suffered through various struggles. The singer expresses their disdain towards the other person, stating that they hate their guts and can't even stand to look at them or their band. However, the singer also claims to have gone underground, perhaps to escape from or avoid this person entirely.
The singer does not hold back in their disdain towards this person, stating that they wish they had a photo of the scene and could sell their life to People magazine. They also describe having violent tendencies towards this person, warning them not to come closer or risk getting kicked in the nuts. The lyrics suggest that the singer once worshipped and admired this person, but as time went on, they became disappointed and hurt by their actions, ultimately leading to a complete break in their relationship.
Overall, the lyrics of "Underground" explore the feelings of disillusionment and betrayal that can sometimes arise in relationships that once held great importance. The singer is clearly hurt by the actions of the other person and has chosen to distance themselves from them completely. The imagery used in the song, along with the blunt language, underscores the depth of the singer's anger and disappointment.
