Christmas
Smith and Jones Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know, yeah
Uh-huh
Where the treetops glisten
And children listen
Ooh, to hear those sleigh bells in the snow

Oh yeah
Ooh, I'm (dreaming of a white Christmas)
Dreaming (dreaming of a white Christmas)
White Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
Oh yeah
May your days, may your days be merry and bright
Oh yeah, oh-oh, and may all your Christmases be white, oh yeah

I'm dreaming (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)
Said I'm dreaming (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)
Yeah, a white (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)
Dreaming of a white (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)
Yeah, said I'm dreaming (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)
Dreaming of a white Christmas (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)
Yeah-yeah, dreaming of a white Christmas (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)
Dreaming of a white Christmas (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)
Dreaming-dreaming-dreaming (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)
Dreaming of a white Christmas (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, ooh (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)

Ooh, ooh (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)
Oh, oh (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas)

Amazing quality, thank you! I taped this off BBC Two when it first aired Christmas 1987. Watched it every Christmas for many years after and have been watching it on YouTube for the last 10 years or so, but this is the best quality version I’ve seen. 💯

Thank you. A definite must watch for me every Christmas as well. In my opinion it's one of the finest half hours of comedy the BBC has ever produced.

I managed to get this recording when it popped up on BBC4 a few years ago. So glad I did because it looks like it won't be repeated again any time soon.
