It's actually an interesting story that you just shared.. As For Me.. I, Myself Had This Song ON REPEAT playing in my head when I had a bad stomach bug and was in bed like a vegetable/sleeping for like 2-3 days straight! And when I woke up my mom had said to me I haven't heard that song in a long time LOL so I thought it was all in my dreams. I Second That Emotion: What great memories of music 🎶 🎶 back in the 70's. During this time in my life , finishing High School, A few days later going to Basic Training in Oklahoma, learning how to be a soldier in the United States Army 🇺🇸, what a way to grow up so fast and so young. There were many in the same situation, we completely our training, where many of us so young would be sent overseas for our first tour of duty. Motown, was a strong point in my life. Listening to Armed Forces Radio kept many of us going. This's one of my favorite songs 🎵, many of the music Pioneers are gone now, but knowing this music will live forever. When many of us return home back to the states things were different in many ways. Today, many of us are in our 60's where we still reflect back to the sounds of yesterday. We lived through music 🎶 had a message from the heart ❤ where we enjoyed each other company. Those who are gone RIP, the ones still with us thanks for the sounds from your heart to mine. Mr. Lynn, Walton a soldier many of you helped us made it through the tough times, to my fellow veterans as well. Welcome Home!

@Lynn Walton Thank You for the Compliment Lynn Walton. My Dad was a Singer. He used to Sing in the Catskill Mountains and Entertain People during his Summer Break from College. He actually cut a couple of Love Songs, that were very Beautiful, but he should have gotten some Airplay on the Radio Station. If I was around he would have! Lol! He actually had a very Successful Career as a Jet Engine Engineer at General Electric in Cincinnati. He met with Airforce Personnel his whole Career, because of the Relationship GE had with the USAF. His specialty was Compressors. Here's a list of Engines/Planes; C-5A Transport. Warthog, F-14, F-15, F-16, F-18. I was a Singer in some local Cincinnati OH bands back in the 70's and 80's. In High school I won a Singing Contest by Singing one of my Favorite Love Songs "My Cherie Amour" in my Opinion Stevie Wonders Greatest Love Song. And he did a lot of em, like "As" YOU CAN REST YOUR MIND ASSURE, THAT I'LL BE LOVING YOU ALWAYS, My 2nd favorite Stevie Wonder Song. I worked in The Promotional Records Department for CBS Records in Cincinnati from 1979-1982 or 83, when they literally pulled out of Cincinnati and offered me a position either in Cleveland OH or Chicago IL of which I politely turned down because I was going to College had a Beautiful Girlfriend and I was The Social Program Director and Fundraising Chairman of a Greek Fraternity, fortunately I had plenty of good Help. I have a lot of Stories about some of the Concerts in the Private Suite at Riverfront Coliseum. I was with Morris Day one night just me and him looking at Prince Preform and Apolonia was on stage with him on percussion. I said " Morris, there's a dozen Beautiful Ladies behind us, who are all waiting to meet you" and he replied "The only Lady I'm interested in is her" he pointed at Apolonia on stage. The Movie Purple Rain was correct, Prince and Morris Day were both Competing for Apolonia! Monday, Bootsy Collins sent me a Brand New Funk Song/ Video, called "Fear The Tiger" it's a Tribute to the Cincinnati Bengals success. It has some of the Bengals in it and The Mayor of Cincinnati along with his son Ouiwey Collins and another singer. (Ouiwey Collins) is a friend of mine. Coincidentally, Bootsy Collins's Sound Engineer is also a good friend of mine. For the Past 30 years I have been the "Rose Man" in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. I have had the unique opportunity of working Nightclub Venues in which I was able to go backstage and meet just about every Hot Hip Hop Artist Touring. I met Too Short and his manager bought the whole Bundle of Roses for his girlfriend. Juvenile did the same thing and So did Waka Flocka Flame, I was with TI and Yo Gotti. I also worked 2 Young Zeezy Concerts. One in Louisville Kentucky the night of the Kentucky Derby back in 2010 or 11. My friend was the Promoter and my friends ran security and I was inbthe VIP with the Louisville Cardinals Basketball Team that won the National Championship! Another time my friend and Singer Cook LaFlare was the opening act for Young Jeezy at the BB & T Arena at The Northern Kentucky University's Campus. I sold Roses all over the whole Arena! One time Young Buck bought all my Roses and passed em out to the ladies. I can literally go on and on. I have family who served in the US Armed Forces. My Uncle Charlie from Brooklyn New York was a Tail Gunner in a Bomber during WWII and my Uncle Sammy from "The Lower East Side" of Manhatton New York was in the Battle of the Bulge in WWII. My brother was in the Airforce stationed in England for 3 years and one year in Utah. He then got a job as a Jet Engine Technician testing Jet Engines at General Electric and he then got his Engineering Degree. His College Education was Paid for By The Military and/or by the Companies that he worked for. I took a break from Selling Roses for 2 years to help my little brother in the Mortgage Business. As I look back at yesterday and the time of my journey and what the young generations don't display the talent in the industry as I seen it many years ago. The time as I was growing up and coming out of High School, my life changed quickly, I was in the United States Army 🇺🇸 before I graduated. Today, young generation's don't even have an idea what the world was like in the 70's. I am the third generation of my family answer the call, my grandfather was World War I, my father was World War Il, I finished my Career in the Balkan after 23 years of service, spending 19 and half years in foreign countries. Today I would say I seen a lot as many of my fellow veterans, therefore many of us moved on and we will never forget yesterday of what we shared together. Music 🎶 is what kept many of us veterans going back in the day. This is what gave so many us hope of returning home again. Hopefully, I didn't lose you in trying to explain my journey of traveling while being overseas in different countries. As I look at my grandkids which my granddaughter learning the piano and grandson learning the drums 🥁, please enjoy your day, as and old gentlemen, it been a pleasure to chat with you and share a bit of what many of us still do and enjoy. ha ha.........can't help but laugh.......i'm 65 and you sound just like the parents did when i was young! people said the same thing about motown. music is a living entity and it mutates from generation to generation. musical evolution. i don't listen to "today's music" because i don't relate to it. and fortunately, i'm never anywhere that i have to hear it.
