1. Sneaker was a West Coast American rock music band, active from 1973 to 1982. The band is best known for its Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 hit single, "More Than Just the Two of Us", from its first album, Sneaker (1981). They also had a minor hit with "Don't Let Me In", a song written by Donald Fagen & Walter Becker from Steely Dan.
Sneaker was composed of Tim Torrance on guitars, Mitch Crane on vocals and guitars, Michael Carey Schneider on vocals and keyboards, Mike Hughes on drums, Michael Cottage on bass guitar, and Jim King on keyboards, synthesizers, and vibes. The band cited as its primary musical influences Steely Dan, The Eagles, and The Doobie Brothers. They released 2 studio albums on Handshake Records, Sneaker, in 1981 and Loose In The World, in 1982. Both albums were produced by Jeff "Skunk" Baxter. In 2001, Cool Sound Records, a Japanese record label, released Early On, a collection of their early recordings and, in 2003, released Footprints In Japan, a 1982 live recording from Osaka & Tokyo, Japan.
The group's name "Sneaker" was shortened from "Bad Sneakers" taken from the Steely Dan tune "Bad Sneakers" from their "Katy Lied" LP.
2. Sneaker were a Sydney band operating in the early to mid 1990's. They had 2 tracks on the Serum Records compilation, Half-life, which featured other bands from Sydney at the time.
3. Sneaker has been on a mission to reveal the origins of electronic music for about fifteen years now. Whether as a producer, DJ, live act, promoter of the ElektroTekknoKlash-club nights in Jena or as one of the owner of the eponymous label – he’s doing it properly but always after careful consideration. Early on, he fell in love with Detroit and Chicago but furthermore there are the obscure Italo-, New Wave- and Minimal Synth-gems that make his sets special and provide his productions with that certain Sneaker-flavour. If he doesn’t reflect on dance music’s history, the student of fine arts travels extensively or shuttles between his part-time- hometowns Dresden, Jena and Berlin. With the pricky bomb that is You Think You Think! he’s become a member of the Uncanny Valley-family now.

Fifteen was ancient, so brightly the sun shone
Summer smelled sweeter, we lived so free
Losing you never occurred to me
Older now, a beautiful soul
That I now know there may be no tomorrow
Our love is a symphony of sensation
We're all so fragile
We were all so strong
And I know one day
We'll all be gone
To the city in the sky
Or that crypt below
It's our time now!
Enjoy the show!
Riding the wave of life no time to catch your breath
Even the greatest lives result in death
Rise up, stand up, raise your hand!
We're in this together until the end
I know you enjoyed it on this earth
Now you're laying there in that hearse
Lay back and relax, you're in no pain
You lived life to the fullest
Now you're on the evening train
We're all so fragile
We're all so strong
And I know one day
We'll all be gone
To the city in the sky
Or the crypt below
It's our time now!
Enjoy the show!
Enjoy the show
Enjoy the show
The lyrics to "Pour It Out" by Sneaker reflect on the passage of time, the fragility of life, and the importance of living in the present moment. The first verse reminisces about the carefree days of youth, when everything seemed endless and losing a loved one was inconceivable. As the song progresses, the perspective shifts to the present, acknowledging that life is fleeting and tomorrow is uncertain. The love shared between the singer and their partner is described as a powerful experience, akin to a symphony of sensations and enough to energize a nation.
The chorus emphasizes the duality of human existence, highlighting our vulnerability as well as our strength. It acknowledges the inevitability of death, whether it be ascension to the afterlife ("the city in the sky") or descent into the crypt. Despite this, the song encourages embracing the present moment and enjoying the show that is life.
Overall, "Pour It Out" reflects on the transience of life, the importance of cherishing every moment, and the bittersweet nature of mortality.
