Dry
Snowglobe Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Well, that ain't no surprise
I can hear it in the sighs
I can see it in your eyes
Does anybody know?
I watch your frustration grow
Till you finally let it go
So here we are
Quiet over the phone
Trembling with the stars
In each other's arms
There's no going back
All those days are gone
All those days have passed
Disappeared so fast
Start out young and idiotic
End up burnt out and robotic
Got to fill those empty pockets
Work a job
Watch all the rock stars drinking mingel
Brag about their latest singles
Sing their lonely little jingles
-to the crowd
The lyrics of Snowglobe's song "Dry" describe the end of a relationship, with one person feeling emotionally disconnected from the other. The song opens with the line, "You left me dry," which sets the tone for the rest of the song. The singer acknowledges that they were not surprised by this turn of events and could sense the other person's detachment through their body language and voice.
As the song progresses, the singer mourns the loss of the relationship and reminisces about the past. They wonder where things went wrong and express the desire to go back to happier times. However, they realize that it is impossible to return to the past and that they must come to terms with the present. The final lines of the song suggest that the singer has moved on and found comfort in another person's arms.
The lyrics of "Dry" are relatable to anyone who has experienced the end of a relationship. The song captures the sadness and confusion that often accompany a breakup, as well as the hope and healing that can come with moving on.

I love the fact that it glows in the dark. Lovely tumbler specially for people that drink water at night when the lights are off. A glowing tumbler would not require turning the light on!!!β
