Soda Blonde is a band whose origins come from songs written by O'Rourke while she was in Little Green Cars, which they say "evokes the tragic beauty of Karen Carpenter and the pop sensibilities of Annie Lennox".

They are a self-described artistic collective inspired by Dev Hynes, Lykke Li and Little Dragon—self-producers and visual artists inspired by "Cindy Sherman’s striking self-portraiture with a Lynchian approach to videography."
