1. Son of Sam is a supergroup of sorts originally consisting of AFI vocalist Davey Havok, guitarist Todd Youth (who had played with Danzig, D Generation, and Murphy's Law), drummer London May (Samhain, Tiger Army), and bassist Steve Zing (Samhain). The members' former groups tell the story of their music: a hybrid of punk and metal, tinged with goth overtones. Son of Sam returned in 2008 with a new album titled Into The Night and new vocalist, Ian Thorne (aka Sky Vaughan-Jayne and real name Jonathan Ian Skye Jayne) replacing Davey Havok, who couldn't return due to commitments, with Mark Reid replacing London May on drums.
