Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Eh Yahweh eh eh eh eh
Amazing God Amazing King
You make my life so beautiful
You turn my darkness into light
You pick me up from miry clay
Amazing God Amazing King
Ten thousand words aren′t good enough to praise you
A thousand tongues wouldn't be enough to love you
Oh how great you′ve been to me
Amazing God Amazing King

The lyrics of Sonnie Badu's song "Amazing God" express deep gratitude to God for turning the singer's life from darkness into light. The repetition of "Eh Yahweh" creates a highly emotional and worshipful atmosphere, emphasizing the boundless nature of God. The singer states that "Ten thousand words aren't good enough to praise you / A thousand tongues wouldn't be enough to love you," indicating that no amount of praise or love would be enough to fully express the greatness of God. The refrain "Amazing God Amazing King" shows that the singer is in awe of the power and majesty of God, and recognizes Him as both king and God.
The song's second verse states that God is the singer's "all in all" and "well in the desert place," indicating that even in times of trial and hardship, God remains faithful and provides sustenance for the singer. The chorus emphasizes that God is always present to deliver the singer from trouble and to set him free. The repetition of "Amazing God Amazing King" in the final moments of the song reinforces the overall message that God is worthy of praise and worship.

Wow! This song speaks to my oldest son who fell away from the Lord. As a mother, I have been praying and fasting for many years for him. Matthew is now back at home coming to church with us. He heard a song on the radio that spoke to him. We found the song Voice of God and he said “That’s it mom!” Then we found this one! Thank God for musicians like yourself!
