Calling
Soulidium Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Can you hear me call?
Your voice whispers in the shadows of my mind
Can you hear me calling?
Hear me calling
My soul is longing
My life is through you
Shining. I can feel it shining down on me
It′s the voice of God
Fill me. bring to me a sweet sweet melody
Can you hear me calling
Hear me calling
My soul is longing
My life is through you
I'm calling to you.you
I'm lost without you
My life is for you
I need to feel you now.
The voices calling
The curtains falling
And I vow to rock them all
GO!
Hear me calling
My soul is longing
My life is through you
I′m calling to you.
Love me, hate me, love me
Can you hear me call?
The song "Calling" by Soulidium is a plea to someone, perhaps a lover or a higher power, to be heard and found. The singer feels lost and unable to find their way to the one they are calling out to, but they hope that their voice will be heard. The lyrics paint a picture of someone who is searching for meaning and purpose in their life.
The first verse references shadows in the mind, hinting at a darkness or confusion that the singer is experiencing. Despite this, they still feel a connection to the one they are calling out to, as evidenced by the line "Your voice whispers in the shadows of my mind." The chorus repeats the phrase "hear me calling," emphasizing the singer's need to be heard and acknowledged.
The second verse introduces the idea of a shining light, which is described as the voice of God. This could suggest that the singer is calling out to a higher power for guidance or comfort. They also express a desire to be filled with a sweet melody, perhaps indicating a need for music or inspiration in their life.
The bridge of the song repeats the phrase "I'm lost without you," further emphasizing the theme of being lost and in need of direction. However, the singer also expresses a determination to "rock them all," perhaps meaning that they are ready to face whatever challenges come their way.
