Sound of Lighthouse’s first single ‘My Eyes Only’ has a caisa drum as the lead instrument, which gives the song an unique sound. The Dutch/Spanish band with DJ/producer Renegato and songwriter/singer Josie got birth in Denia at the Costa Blanca in Spain and later on moved to Alicante.

They both started early with music but their roads didn’t cross until the end of 2012. Soon a special friendship evolved and the seed of working together was planted.

The first single ‘My Eyes Only’ is proof of the beautiful balance the band seems to have found. The lounge beats combined with Josie’s voice and enchanting soundscapes is like a union between lyrics, melody and rhythm.

‘My Eyes Only’ is a remix from the original acoustic version, Josie wrote last year. It is
about someone who is very sensitive and feels and sees what other people think or struggle with. And so she knows that one day her partner will leave her, because he doesn’t know how to reach her and is afraid of the beautiful feeling for her. Although it makes her feel lonely sometimes, she is strong at the same time “It doesn’t matter, you don’t see what I see, it’s my eyes only”, means she is fine with what is and that she loves him anyway. The angelic choir in the song is a reminder that we are not alone. The bass from the caisadrum is like a heartbeat, that life goes on.

Pharos Music will present the next single at the end of October. Their first album will be expected in 2015. This album contains twelve tracks and is a merge between dance, pop and lounge in which Josie’s voice will not only be soothing, but raw and even elated from time to time.
