1) South is a London-based trio of talented multi-instrumentalists that defy any one label. Rock, electric, acoustic, folk and orchestral only touch the surface of South's repertoire. Their first album, From Here on In, was released on Mo'Wax. Between this and the next album they supplied the score to Sexy Beast along with UNKLE. Their sophomore album, With the Tides, was released domestically in the United States on the Kinetic Record Label in 2003. The release of their third full length album; 'Adventures in the Underground Journey to the Stars' in 2006 has only expanded their sound while taking on new challenges by mixing and producing their own tunes in their very own studio.
2008 brings more changes to South with a move to Bluhammock Records. Scheduled to be released in April, "You Are Here" showcases some redone older tracks as well as breaking new ground.
Their track "Paint the Silence", from From Here On In, quickly became a hit after it was played in the ninth episode of The OC in Season 1. The episode was entitled "The Heights".

Motiveless Crime
South Lyrics

Speeches, restless interrogation,
There lies on streets, lie there with me,
Catching fever, I don't think of life as out of reach
Jealous, fertile, cut from the safety of,
This life, these faces, I've walked in place at which point I'll ignore
I've witnessed
Timeless favour, there might be strings attached,
Catching fever, I don't think of life as obsolete,
A motiveless crime,
I've witnessed
The lyrics to South's song "Motiveless Crime" are somewhat enigmatic and open to interpretation. The verses evoke a sense of unease and restlessness, with mentions of "strings tied" and "restless interrogation." The singer seems to be caught up in a feverish state, perhaps spurred on by some kind of illicit desire. There are hints of danger and jealousy, as well as a sense of being stuck in place.
The repeated refrain, "a motiveless crime I've witnessed," suggests that the singer has seen something shocking or disturbing, but is unable to pinpoint exactly what it is. This phrase takes on a haunting quality as it is repeated throughout the song, hinting at some unspeakable act that has left the singer feeling uneasy and disjointed.
Overall, the lyrics of "Motiveless Crime" create a mood of tension, unease, and ambiguity. The words are cryptic and open to interpretation, leaving the listener to fill in the gaps and construct their own meaning.

Love this song from Fastlane. They need to make a second season. Why would they leave it at a cliff hanger like that!!!!
Wise Ass
sharpemang Because the show was too expensive to make. They kept going over the budget with high end vehicles.
