Jeg Hader Susanne
Souvenirs Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
susanne og hendes succes (x2)
Gi mig bare 2 gode grunde (susanne)
The lyrics of Souvenirs' song "Jeg Hader Susanne" (I Hate Susanne) express a deep resentment and envy towards a successful woman named Susanne. The first two lines repeat Susanne's name and "jeg hader susanne" (I hate Susanne) twice, emphasizing the strong negative feelings towards her. The singer then challenges Susanne's success, asking for just two good reasons why she shouldn't be envied.
The lyrics go on to describe Susanne as a beautiful and talented woman who always gets what she wants. However, for the singer, Susanne is just a burden and an obstacle in their own pursuit of success. The song seems to highlight the destructive nature of envy and how it can consume a person's thoughts and emotions.
Overall, "Jeg Hader Susanne" is a powerful and emotional song that explores the dark side of envy and the harm it can cause to both the envier and their target.
