While on the playlists of every funk and soul DJ dropping heavy funk, latin or soulful beats on dancefloors around the world, their music has also been the backdrop for countless TV shows and Hollywood film trailers. They have toured all over Europe and Japan releasing 8 studio albums, including collaborations with some of legendary names in soul and funk. In 2022, the band were busy recording 2 new albums at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. Both are scheduled for release in 2023.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wahid Bayyan and I am the youngest of the Bell/Bayyan brothers. I hope that the band gets to read this, that I'm about to say. Over the years I've heard many, many bands play my Brother's music, but never the really old stuff. They went all the way back to their very 1st Album, and I have NEVER HEARD any of those other band play anything Pre-J.T. except Funky Stuff, Jungle Boogie,and of course Hollywood Swinger. I have to that Band did my Brothers proud. I also want to say thank you for honoring them through your music. It was outstanding. By the way the solo section after "Kool & The Gang" song was Slammin, I particularly dug the percussion breaks. BRAVO GENTLEMEN 👏

When LIVE AT THE SEX MACHINE came out, I think that I was about 13, so every song that my Brother Khalis/Ronald wrote always takes me back to our lives as a family at that time, actually it's like History for me. Wahid, wow many thanks for your message, Live at the Sex Machine was critical to us when we first started playing funk in the late 1990's along with the Meters. We still play Kool & the Gang in the show today and it always gets a great reaction from the audience.
The early stuff is really why we got into the funk thing in the first place, it's been our inspiration for the past 25 years. Once again thank you for getting in contact with us. Best wishes.
