The backing group currently consists of Tony Bevilacqua (The Distillers), Jack Irons (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Eleven) and Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Eleven). However, Brody Dalle has stated in an interview that, "Spinnerette isn't a band, it's me and whichever musicians I want to work with at the time."

Dalle announced the emergence of the project in March 2007. And announced her solo debut as simply Brody Dalle during 2012.

Spinnerette released a digital EP called Ghetto Love, via their Official Website on December 11th, 2008. It features four songs: Ghetto Love, Valium Knights, Distorting a Code, and Bury My Heart. A video of Ghetto Love directed by Liam Lynch.

On June 9th, Spinnerette made their entire debut album available for listening on their MySpace page. The album, Spinnerette, was released in the UK on June 15th and in the US on the 23rd. The first single from this album to be released was Baptized By Fire which, as verified by Brody Dalle's Twitter, had a video shot for and will be released some time in July, 2009.

Not that I'm completely condemning the continuous Spinnerette/Distillers comparisons, but I'd probably wait for the album release before blurting out bluntly that The Distillers are better/worse than this. Ok there are a few tracks out there, but the full LP should be given a chance first. That said, I'm loving this track, original and remix-wise :)

so far i love everything spinnerette did!!! but still i hate the waiting for their album... hehehe and this comparison between the distillers and spinnerette i find it a bit stupid, they're different bands that's why the have different name, different band members and different sounds.... i've been a big distllers fan and i really like this twist brody and tony did, to my opinion they're going through a a great change... well that's waht I think anyway..

No, it was a dare that Ted had to do, so he invited Len over and got him to look at something (a watercolor painting of a bishop on the floorboard). He kicked him and Dougal took a picture, and after the kick, Ted played it off and Len went all the way to the Vatican before realizing he was kicked after all. He then goes back to Craggy Island where he sees an enormous poster of Ted kicking him. I've gotta get the show on DVD because I know I've missed a few episodes.
