They produced one eponymous album in 1999, featuring such cover songs such as "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails and "Spoonman" by Soundgarden, as well as original songs. This recording, and their live performances, featured vocal percussion and extensive use of digital and analog effects to extend the human voice and create more instrumental textures. The members of Spiralmouth are Michael Blanchard, Tony Field (aka Antonio Sol), Becky Kneubuhl, Vi Le, Chris Miller, and Gabe Rutman (aka Gabriel Mann). Some members of Spiralmouth were previously part of This Side Up, another a cappella singing group, which won the Los Angeles regional Harmony Sweepstakes in 1997. Though they no longer perform, Spiralmouth still records occasionally, most recently writing and producing the soundtrack to the newest video games in the Crash Bandicoot franchise: Twinsanity and Crash Tag Team Racing.

@@superspeedbros2422 Bit late, but it's probably legit. Doom (1993) used a lot of simple tunes and sounds that are pretty easy to recreate. I mean, I hum Hiding The Secrets (E1M9) all the time and it ends up being pretty faithful. Plus, I recommend listening to the soundtrack before saying it's a meme.
