I would’ve charged them to park on the weekends. Reminds me of a story in the UK where a guy turned up at a parking lot every day for 14 years and only took cash. Turns out the property was owned by the council and the person was not employed by them. He was collecting £1500+ per day. One day he didn’t come in never to be heard of again. Hope he’s enjoying his villa in Spain.

I agree. He could have created a side income for himself by marking off part of his land as shopper parking. Who needs to plant stuff on your land if you can make money another way, right? Of course, if they didn't want to pay, he could tell them to move on. All he needed to do is set up a cordon and an entrance into the parking area, and just stand at the entrance collecting the money.

@Aptera Challenge there were only a few cars some days. Probably an extremely variable income of 30 bucks/day to 1000/day. Even if we make it an average of 500/day income this farmer likely relies upon much more than that per day from this field to pay his general operating costs, maintenance, etc for the rest of his farm. And if the shopping center decides they want to take advantage of parking and build a structure now he loses his new income source and his farm is dead so he's screwed.

My dad had the same guy parking in front of his driveway on a constant basis. He tried asking him to stop more than once without any change. Eventually my dad got sick of it & parked both of his vehicles extremely close to both ends of his vehicle & refused to move when he eventually knocked on the door and asked him to. Somehow he got out without damaging my dads vehicles and it put a stop to the disrespectful behavior.

There was a guy in a busy beach town that took his two cars and blocked out the public street. I squeezed my Jeep in. He was watching and every time I barely touched he was like "that's one!" "Thats two"....I said well you could move them...his reply "NO -Welcome to _______"(town name). Walking away my girlfriend was like you should move, he might mess with your car. I new he heard so I turned around and gave him the death stare. I said "He can't do anything I know where he lives"....(car was fine)

That's illegal and is warranting being towed away by the police at the expense of the person that blocks the driveway. No warning is given if reported since unblocking the exit is more important than illegal parking, so it's an instant tow-away.

I worked at a location that had dedicated motorcycle parking. The problem, however, was that no one respected it. Additionally, the upper management of the company had their own dedicated parking spaces that workers would be reprimanded if they parked in. I made complaints to the management, but they seemingly did not care. So, after weeks of asking politely for people not to park cars there I was fed up. I started parking my motorcycle within inches of their driver's side door, turning my wheel toward their car, and enabling my steering lock. My motorcycle was blocking their door and even if they tried to move the bike it would only towards their car. Additionally, my motorcycle weighed 600 pounds so there was no chance they could shimmy it out of their way. They were forced to awkwardly stumble into their driver's seat through their passenger side.

There was a similar case in Germany. There was a lake where people used to swim illegally. This lake was actually only intended as a fire pond and was not without danger...
The farmer on whose property this lake was located did not like the swimmers, of course, because in the event of an accident he would have been jointly liable.
So what should the farmer do? He came up with an idea - not very nice, but very effective: He fertilized the fields around the lake with liquid manure! Of course, some potential bathers didn't like that at all... and so a reader's letter was sent to the local newspaper. That is a myth. If someone gets hurt on your property, especially if trespassing, you are NOT automatically responsible. Hell, even if you allow them on your property, you are not automatically responsible. It is only if you create the danger that caused the injury. So if someone just drowned while swimming, you are not responsible, unless you set up booby traps under the water to snag them and keep them from getting out.

this myth turns homeowners into assholes. But yes..go ahead and allow the neighbor's kids to sled down your hill. If they steer themselves into a tree, that is on them and no lawyer would even take the kids' family's case if they tried. Just make sure you picked up all your gardening tools and other sharp implements before the snow fell. Ad this is even MORE true for trespassers. It is absurd that ANYONE ever believed that bullshit Liar Liar myth of a burglar that fell when trying to break in a kitchen through a skylight and cut themselves on a knife. Nope. No court of law would ever even hear that case. Unless the homeowner set booby traps.

the legal principle obliges property. The farmer would actually have been obliged to even fence the lake!
Since the farmer failed to do so, he is THEREFORE partly to blame for a possible accident. That's what we call a security obligation.

My grandparents used to do a little bit of farming, so I know this all too well. Well done farmer. It pisses me off too on that fact that people think they are entitled to wreck your day by doing something stupid. I see this day in and day out daily. It makes me sad, that people let their arrogance take over and really crap on your doorstep. Some people say Karma will take them. Sure, but Karma takes time. I gotta tell ya, If I could make laws, I would do my best to keep the peace everywhere. And kick entitled ones in the rear, because they need to get off their high horse. Haha 😆! As for USA, and other countries, everyone’s rights should be equal. Nobody should come to your property without invitation. If they do that should be considered a crime. I have dealt with the same problems. We had a farm that bordered a hunting slough. They drove across our land to launch their duck boats. They packed the ground terribly. We finally bulldozed the driveway out & that seemed to stop them.

I recall an incident about 40 years ago where I saw someone parked across two or three parking spaces in front of a restaurant, at a right angle to the markings on the parking spaces There was already a car in front of her car, so I pulled up behind. About that time she came out and complained to her about me blocking her in. I gave her a couple of minutes of grief about marked parking spaces, and eventually let her go (after all, the goal was to NOT have her taking up multiple parking spaces). Hopefully, this impacted her future behavior.

Same situation when my brother went cross country and ate a local diner in this small town many years ago in Indiana. The side streets were full, and noticed locals were knocking on this house beside the field and thought that's how they do it, so he did. Manners are taught at home. While visiting my grandparents in Germany decades ago, my grandfather had the same issue, he loaded up a manure hopper and proceeded to spray it in the area where he was going to work the field. I know there’s another YouTube video of a farmer doing the same. But my grandfather did a really good job. He basically sprayed around the cars, basically creating an island of cars in the middle of a manure farm.😂😂

There's one clip of a guy in England in a tractor out farming and someone comes up to his tractor and askes him to stop because he's making too much noise... the guy had moved into a recently built housing estate which bordered the farm that most likely had been there for centuries..

Had one so brash that he told me I didn’t really “own” my own land!! I told him that OK, I would drive up on his lawn in the morning with my truck and go bear hunting!!

I can totally see my grandpa doing this. So 2 thumbs up. that said I could just as easily see my brother and me telling grandpa to post a sign saying no parking first. And then changing our minds and telling him that just like with the fair, when they charged 5 dollars to park in the grass fields, he should have us or some other local teens out there charging 5 bucks to park and handing out stickers. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).

Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).

Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.

Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).

Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).

Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.

I remember when i was a kid, sat in mcdonalds, and over the road was a taxi rank (row of parking spots for taxis to wait/drop off/pick up fares) and someone decided to park in one and go shopping. The taxi drivers were annoyed so they just blocked them in and went for food, driver came back when they refused to move the car he called the police who promptly gave him a parking fine instead.

We saw one of those park across 3 spaces jackasses taking up space in the mall parking lot and decided to park our beat up old trucks properly but in such a way to block the front and back of him so he couldn't exit. Went in saw whatever movie we had wanted to see (I forget what it was as it was over 30 years ago) and a couple hours later came out to the guy having an argument with a mall cop about the two trucks blocking him in and the cop telling him he should have parked it properly in the first place and he wouldn't have been blocked in and other than write him a ticket for improper parking he couldn't do anything unless the trucks were there overnight. My friend and I got in our respective vehicles and drove off waving to the cop.

I was once delivering downtown where there is only one commercial spot. a guy infront of me with his family took it despite not having a handicapped sticker or commercial plate. i honked and pointed at the sign. he shot me the finger. so i blocked him in so he couldn't get out of his truck in the center of down town and went to lunch for a hour. came back with the wife yelling at him, and a meter maid writing him a ticket. i waved to the meter maid who said thanks, and went on with my day.

I applaud you, sah! My brother and I had a similar problem. People thought our driveway was a public lot since it went horizontal instead of vertical like traditional ones. So, one night when it was full, we gathered OUR cars up (mind you we fixed up and sold classic cars), and parked them in a line, blocking everyone in. When they demanded we move them, we said "Pay us for the two hours you stole from our business." Of course they said no and called the cops, who sent out a wrecker to ATTEMPT TO MOVE OUR CARS. When the cops finally realized they effed up, they told the people there was nothing they could do since they were trespassing. Even the cops moved off the lot. Instead of letting those jackasses have their cars back peacefully, we had every single one impounded. We had very visible signs that said not to park there or it would happen. Guess they couldn't read or didn't care. Many tried to sue us, but not one suit stuck. In fact, we made a small fortune from them because not only did they have to pay to get their cars back, but we sent them all bills for the two hours of "service", ad the courts made them pay! HA! Revenge is always better served cold and bitter.

There are a lot of people who will park where they're not supposed to. I live in a condo and have 2 parking spots. I rent the 2nd spot to a neighbour. However, I have often found someone parking there, without permission. I then call parking control to have them tagged and towed. There are also some who insist on parking in the handy cap spots. I call them in too.

I come from the farm and many non farming people think that an open field fair game for them to trespass. They don't seem to figure out that the farmer is trying make a living on that land. Actually building a simple fence,( doesn't have to be fancy) is a simple solution

Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.

I live beside 'County Land' which is fenced off. People park on my property and take walks, hunt, ride horses and ski in the winter. The County Land is not a park. These people have a great park just a few miles down the road but because they think our road is seldom used (wrong), they park in one of my access entires. One year someone advertised the cross country skiing use and we had several people coming out from the city, parking everywhere. Killing young trees along the road. We cannot do a thing about it.

I go to a yearly motocross event and the farmers are actually getting paid to simply care for the field so that for once a year event organizers can have their permission to use that land for parking for visitors. And its a huge field too, basically dedicated for that once a year event, where no crops are grown, but the field is still maintained.

I live near the beach and have the same problem. I have a few tow trucks on speed dial. Those guys can snatch a car in seconds.

Had two tourists try to get into my house and yell because they were so angry they got towed. I told them they trespassed once, and only got a car towed. Come into the house, it's a whole new level of trouble. I live in Florida. They got smart, and left.

Thing is, I let people park there for free if they just ask nicely. I've stuffed 5-6 cars in on busy weekends. Just be respectful, people.

It really is crazy how fast they can get them. My girlfriends car broke down at her work. I was waiting in the parking lot for the guy to show and am parked about 5 spaces down so they have room to do their thing. He shows up and I get out and talk to him in his truck. I confirm it is only front wheel drive and that the emergency brake is off, give him the address of the shop I want to take it to and walk to my car. Before I start my engine, he is already rolling out of the parking lot.

So, a very long winded explanation for a very short story. I will add some details.
I believe this happened in the city of Zagreb at the festival park just south of the city and the river Sava. The farmer had complained to the authorities and the shopping centre owners but been ignored.
He was a decent human as despite ploughing up around the cars he also helped the rude and inconsiderate motorists out by towing them off his land.

Sometimes it's better to take matters in your own hands instead of waiting for 'justice' to help you out. He was in his right, it is his land and it surprised me he accepted this for so long. People in cars are utterly lazy. They rather drive another round on the parking lot to get nearer to entrance than walk maybe 30 or 40 meter more from a location where there is plenty of space.

It would have to be sooo satisfying to have an entitled arrogant person call the cops on you and then when they get there the arrogant caller ends up being the one that gets it from the cops. Hello ! May Allah protect and guide you to his light and happiness in this life and the hereafter, God bless, Ameen. Excuse me for giving a little presentation of Islam, because it is very misunderstood nowadays, especially on those « Antichrist's » times, where media and politics are mixed to distort history and truth. And terrorists (puppets of the Antichrist) who misinterpret verses, out of ignorance and political motivations, and take them out of historical context (just like radical atheists do by the way), don't help either. Thank you very much for your time.

Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).

Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).

Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.

Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).

Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).

Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.

That happened one time on my property. I towed them al 21 vehiclesl to the rear of my property and boxed them all in. $50 for each before I'd release any of them. Cops were called but they told the vehicle owners, "private property" and it's a civil matter and not a crime. The property was clearly posted with "No Trespassing" signs and "No Parking" signs. $1050 taken in that day.

It happened in Croatia and places with 2-3 or 5000 do not have tow service od as we call it "pauk" it means spider. So he decided to do this. On his place I would say: you can leave, BUT first pay 150$ per car od leave it here. Of course noone isn t alllowed to tow those cars from your land if you don t let them do it. He could leave them there indefinite time

the best way Ive seen this handled was to charge for parking. you put up signs. when someone doesnt pay, you get their information and charge them using the legal system. IF you DONT WANT it to happen you charge $500 to park for one hour. not only did he keep people from parking on his land he actually got payed to do it.
