He is also a self-proclaimed musical schizophrenic and has been influenced buy that meeting at the crossroads of art and noise, such as the Beatles, Cheap Trick, Todd Rundgren, David Bowie, The Ramones, The Posies, Teenage Fanclub, Matthew Sweet, Foo Fighters and more.

He has recently recorded and released his 2nd solo CD entitled "Sideshow Freak," the follow-up to 2007's "Pop Motel." As with last year's effort, Steven wrote all the songs, played all instruments and produced the recording himself..for better or worse.
