Give me back my wig, honey let your head go bald
You really had no business, honey buyin' no wig at all
Give me back that wig, honey let your head go bald
Give me back that wig, honey let your head go bald
You really had no business, honey buyin' no wig at all
Give me back my wig, honey let your head go bald
Give me back that wig, honey let your head go bald
You really had no business, honey buyin' no wig at all
In the song "Give Me My Things" by Stevie S, the lyrics revolve around a demand for the return of a wig that the singer's partner has purchased. The repeated refrain of "Give me back my wig, honey let your head go bald" emphasizes the singer's frustration and disbelief at their partner's decision to buy a wig. The lyrics express that the partner had no reason or justification for purchasing the wig, implying that their natural appearance should be embraced instead.
The repetition of the phrase "let your head go bald" can be seen as a metaphor for accepting oneself and being authentic. It suggests that the partner's attempt to alter their appearance through a wig is unnecessary, and the singer desires them to embrace their natural self.
The overall tone of the song is one of defiance and assertiveness, as the singer demands the return of their possession, implying a sense of authority in the relationship. The repetition of the chorus in different variations throughout the song reinforces the singer's frustration and serves as a means of expressing their demand.
Overall, "Give Me My Things" is a playful yet assertive song that highlights the singer's desire for their partner to embrace their natural self rather than trying to alter their appearance with a wig.
