Stoner Train's music is a mix of the bearish vocal which makes children cry, the tough harp reminding a gritting of iron in a bloody fight, the shaman percussion which rhythm forces you to up your ass, and the charming guitar making you to drink a couple of bottles of beer and to start on a neverending satanic dance!
Stoner Train originally comes from Moscow, Russia. Founded in 2011 the band started playing Stoner/Blues/Southern and released 2 LP albums that caught the attention of the underground scene in different countries.
In 2013 Serj Gdanian moved to Berlin and met Ivan Mostacci (Italy), with whom the band recorded the third LP album “III”. At the moment the band is playing around Europe and preparing new material for their next studio album.

Stoner Train Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I've been away for too long.
Falling down, rising up,
Going down with the river.
Falling down, rising up...
I shiver.
Here I am ready to rock.
Falling down, rising up,
Going down with the river.
Falling down, rising up...
I shiver,
Oh, I shiver.
Falling down, rising up,
Going down with the river.
Falling down, rising up...
I am the sunsurfer, baby.
The lyrics of Stoner Train's Sunsurfer capture the essence of a journey that is both physical and emotional. The need for relaxation and escape is evident in the opening lines, where the singer expresses the desire to drink and smoke after being away for too long. The feeling of being lost in the current of life is mirrored in the phrase "going down with the river," and the repeated phrases "falling down, rising up" reflect a sense of struggle and resilience.
As the song progresses, the mood shifts from uncertainty to confidence, demonstrated by the lines "shadows pass, ticking clock / here I am ready to rock." The singer's determination to keep moving forward and rise above the challenges they face is reinforced by the repetition of "falling down, rising up" and "I shiver."
The final line, "I am the sunsurfer, baby," encapsulates the sense of empowerment and freedom that comes from facing obstacles head-on and finding a way to keep going. It's a song about perseverance, about recognizing that life is not always easy, but that there is always a way to keep moving forward.
