2.Acima do promissor estado gaúcho, terra que pariu entre outras anomalias no rock brasileiros bandas como Graforréia Xilarmônica, Replicantes, Júpiter Maçã, abaixo do Paraná, conhecido pelo status de "cidade modelo" de sua capital, o sul do Brasil ainda bebe de outra água. E é lá que se escondia o Stuart. Banda essa que por aquelas terras fez história desde do final da década de 90, quando aínda o coletivo "banda" não podia ser usado para apontá-los, já que tratava-se apenas de um projeto "solo" do então vocalista de uma influente banda punk da região, que atendia pelo nome de Enzime.
Hora, dividindo palco com tais anomalias gaúchas citadas, hora com outras do mesmo rio, como Repolho e Os Pistoleiros, já como coletivo, Stuart serviu como banda de apoio do trovador Wander Wildner e foi com ele que atravessou o Brasil abrindo seus shows no início de 2005. O mesmo Wander Wildner que assim como os cariocas do Carbona, incluiu músicas compostas pela banda em seu disco, participou do álbum de estréia, o sucessor dos dois CDs Demos "Trilha sonora para nossas vidas" e "Eu não quero ser Stuart" que tornaram a banda conhecida, aínda no início.
Na mesma época em que viajavam o Brasil, seu EP - "Releitura do tributo ao cotidiano chulo" já concorria aos prêmios London Burning e Dynamite como revelação do ano. A banda preparava seu disco "Honestidade Não enche a barriga" e aprontava as malas para deixar Santa Catarina se mudando então para São Paulo, onde moram desde o início de 2007.
Já na capital paulista, seu CD de estréia concorre ao prêmio Dynamite na categoria melhor álbum de rock, e a banda muda de formação, contando agora com o talento de Giancarlo Morelli, conhecido guitarrista que passou por bandas como Walverdes e Chulé de Coturno, compositor da imortal "Quase um alcóolatra" conhecida na voz de Wander Wildner com quem também tocou.
Com a cozinha completa, Stuart mostra o que tem de mais interessante, suas composições fortemente influenciadas pela literatura beatnik, filmes Novelle Vogue e por artistas como Johnny Cash, Iggy Pop, Elvis Costelo, Júpiter Maçã, bandas como Graforreia Xilarmônica, Pavement, The Clash, Wilco e Mutantes.
Agora, eles preparam um novo disco, previsto para o segundo semestre de 2007 que terá como título: "Teatro que celebra a extinção do inverno".
