It’s been a long time coming and seems a distant memory. Can anyone recall long, hot, summers nights? Long, hot,
….very very hot….. in fact steaming, summers nights? The good news is – they are right here.
SUMMERS are bridging the gap between the iconic stadium rock legends of old and the current new wave of music, taking a 1980’s born genre and firmly stamping their own sound all over it. With an exciting stage show and adrenaline fuelled melodic rock songs, SUMMERS – the charismatic new British bad boys of rock are raising temperatures across the UK.
Originating from the South Coast of England, SUMMERS always leave their audiences on a high with a head full of
songs. Their melodies are intelligently crafted with twin guitar led riffs. The lyrics are catchy and memorable.
The band was formed in late 2007 by brothers Crash & Ricky Summers. During their college years, guitarist Jason
Sepala & lead vocalist Crash became friends, unaware of each other’s love for rock music. It wasn’t until years
later whilst trying to form the band that Jase’s guitar playing talent became apparent.
Whilst gigging, the trio were approached by producer Clyde Ward. Clyde had previously worked with artists such as Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz, George Michael and Sting.
In early 2008, a friend of Clyde’s had just returned from playing drums in Sweden with the Cockney Rejects and
overheard a SUMMERS demo whilst in the studio. Instantly impressed by the style of music, drummer Andy Pope met with the boys during a recording session resulting in the band scoring a very experienced drummer! In his spare time, bassist Ricky produced for local musicians and among these was a very promising young guitarist Sam Hickling.
Impressed by the musicianship that Sam displayed, Ricky approached and drafted Sam into SUMMERS, thus completing the line-up.
Clyde’s experience brought a new dynamic to the table with song-writing collaborations on strong anthemic songs, direction, input on the stage show, lighting and visual effects. He combined everything into a harder hitting production and sound which has catapulted the band into another league.
It didn’t take long for word to spread in the UK about SUMMERS melodic songs and rich vocal harmonies. Suddenly the band were playing to full venues all along the South Coast. With the demand as such, the band began recording their debut album in Cyprus which is due for completion in March 2010.
SUMMERS are at their best when they’re on the move and that’s truer now than ever before. The pending debut album shows their commitment to hard-hitting rock & roll without compromise whilst retaining their indelible signature sound.
The boys are poised ready for some serious gigging and are about to unleash a series of tour dates.
Closely following their every step will be the BBC Access All Areas production team who will be filming the band for their forthcoming television show.
Come and catch the hottest new emerging Act of the year at a gig near you.

Sometimes
Summers Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
This is the time, this is my why, my passion, this is my life.
And sometimes I wonder how I buried them deep inside.
And sometimes I wonder what triggers it and hold it tight.
I resign, the life I had, that I lived, it wasn't mine.
In Summer's song "Sometimes," the lyrics delve into the introspective journey of self-discovery and the internal struggle of burying one's true desires and passions. The opening line, "And sometimes I wonder how I buried them deep inside," suggests the artist reflecting upon the choices and actions that led them to suppress their authentic self. It expresses a sense of regret for neglecting their true passions and burying them within their subconscious.
The following line, "This is the time, this is my why, my passion, this is my life," showcases a turning point in the artist's life. They realize that it is now the opportune moment to acknowledge and embrace their passions. The phrase "my why" suggests that the artist has discovered the deeper purpose and motivation behind their desires. They understand that their passions are an integral part of their life and identity.
Continuing with the theme of self-exploration, the next line, "And sometimes I wonder what triggers it and hold it tight," highlights the artist's curiosity about what reignites their buried passions. It implies an awareness of certain triggers or stimuli that spark their inner creativity and drive. The mention of holding it tight indicates a determination to grasp onto these newfound passions and not let them slip away again.
The final line, "I resign, the life I had, that I lived, it wasn't mine," expresses a decision to let go of the life they had been living, which has been overshadowed by suppressing their true desires. It signifies a willingness to abandon the past and embrace the journey towards living a life that aligns with their authentic self.
