Sunbeam Lyrics

You go off everyday and don't come home till night
That ain't the way to do it
That ain't the way to do it
That ain't the way to do it
That ain't the way to get along
Well, I'm pickin' you up and take you to my house
Now you've got up and you treat me like a mouse
That ain't the way to do it
That ain't the way to do it
That ain't the way to get along
Well, alrite [Incomprehensible]
Well, I did everything for you, everything I could
You told everybody down in your neighborhood
That ain't the way to do it
That ain't the way to do it
That ain't the way to do it
That ain't the way to get along
Well, if you got a woman and she won't treat you right
Beat her three times a day and whoop her little at night
That is the way to do it
That is the way to do it
That is the way to do it
That's the way to get along
The lyrics to Sunbeam's "Do It" describe an unhappy relationship where the singer is dissatisfied with the way their partner is treating them. They complain about their partner going off every day and not coming home until night, treating them like a mouse, and talking poorly about them to their neighbors. The song also includes a disturbing verse that suggests beating a woman who won't treat you right, which is not an appropriate or acceptable solution to relationship problems. Overall, the lyrics suggest a theme of dissatisfaction and frustration in a troubled relationship.
It's important to note that the verse about beating women is not condoning violence, but rather highlighting a toxic mindset that should not be perpetuated. It's possible that the inclusion of this verse is meant to show the dark side of relationships where anger and frustration can lead to violent actions.
Overall, the lyrics to "Do It" suggest a tumultuous relationship where communication and respect are lacking. The song advises against negative behaviors towards partners and highlights the importance of healthy communication in relationships.
