He debuted on the music scene with the 12" P.U.M.A. / Cassiopeia EP as his debut release on Anjunabeats in 2005.

Marton followed this up with M.I.R.A., on Anjunabeats on 9 October 2006 (featuring a remix from Daniel Kandi). This was followed up with his latest effort, Blue Bird, released on 21 May 2007. The A-side is a sensual slice of melodic trance, which drifts you into another world with its fluent piano riff. Blue Bird was featured on Anjunabeats Worldwide Volume1: Mixed by Super8 & Tab and Mark Pledger.

I think Sunny worked on So Long more than Obsydian, Obsydian is something sunny lax can make in 15 minutes, i'm a producer as well and i can tell that how long would it take for someone like Sunny Lax to do it.
So long synths shows that there is some work done instead of putting out just melodies.
We're also waiting for more your vocal chops sunny, they are your speciality. dont stop, ever. its never too much. Also more drum work like in Counter Clockwise!

All of you Trance gurus...Clearly you know how to make a Trance track and can do it much better? I would love to see what you can come up with. As a producer myself, this is definitely an advanced track as far as production is concerned. A club-banger, if you will. It focuses more on the punchy kick and growling bassline instead of a glistening melody. I understand music is subjective, but I believe this track and many others are a step in the right direction for Trance.

Well, at least he's not remaking his old tracks yet... But yeah, I've been getting a quantity-over-quality vibe from Sunny the last few years. A nice track pops up every once in a while, but a lot of meh falls to the wayside pretty quickly.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply, tecnosine. Obsydian is fine. It's typical of what I see as Sunny's formula. His recent tracks are uplifting and euphoric to listen to while they're playing, but they don't leave much of a lasting impression or memory for me. His production and sound has continued to evolve and improve (which is saying a lot since he's always been top-tier), but the actual composition of his tracks has become stagnant, simplistic, and predictable imo. Admittedly, it must be quite a challenge to reinvent or outdo himself over and over again, in comparison to his past musical successes. And perhaps he doesn't want to take on that challenge because he feels good with the music the way he's currently creating it. If so, I can't fault him for that. As always, much respect for Sunny Lax; some of my favorite trance tracks bear his name. Take my opinions with a grain of salt.

what did you think of Obsydian? I liked both tracks myself. He hasn't released that many tracks over the past couple years. At least I haven't noticed his output is any more than other Anjuna artists. It also may be a case of him getting a lot of work done in the studio at one time, and finishing a lot of projects at once which are then released over the course of the year. Everybody has years where they release quite a few tracks. And not everything he puts out is for everyone. Some of his tracks I haven't liked. There's some good ones out there though :)
