"Use Once and Destroy", their debut album, is a frenzied mix of hardcore, sludge, punk, and thrash metal. It was followed by "A Lethal Dose of American Hatred" just one year later.
Sadly, shortly after a tour in support of the album, disagreements between Anselmo and one of the other band members regarding the band's direction brought the project to a halt just before a third album was going to be released in 2004. Jimmy Bower has since confirmed that the band will not be reuniting.
2014 : Superjoint Ritual have reformed (under the name "Superjoint" for legal reasons) and will perform at this year's Housecore Horror Film Festival. They are also scheduled to play at Hellfest in 2015.

Can you find it? Can you feel it? Can you hide it? Can you fake it?
The promise of piss is here, and I've dug the filthy dredge
Can you find it? Can you feel it? Can you hide it? Can you fake it?
There is no grace in waiting, there's only bastard baiting
Can you find it? Can you feel it? Can you hide it? Can you fake it?
Raped by your father, where you hurt there?
They were the first to revv up, they were the last to ride
Can you find it? Can you feel it? Can you hide it? Can you fake it?
Taken by a blood relation-take that, love that
Given inches, given fortitude-take that, love that
Crying eyes, a man of forty-take that, love that
Taken back there, day to day
I feel, extreme, amped up
Kill the guilty
The lyrics to Superjoint Ritual's song It Takes No Guts are a haunting portrayal of the pain and trauma associated with sexual abuse, particularly that which was inflicted by a family member. The opening lines convey a sense of hopelessness and despair, as the singer rejects the notion of a bright future and instead offers a scathing assessment of life as it exists in their current experience. The repetition of the questioning ("Can you find it? Can you feel it? Can you hide it? Can you fake it?") creates a sense of urgency and desperation, as if the singer is searching for something that they fear may be forever out of reach.
The second half of the song delves deeper into the trauma of sexual abuse, specifically the feelings of shame, guilt, and confusion that can arise in the aftermath of such an experience. The lines "Raped by your father, where you hurt there? Were you horny? Were you horrified?" are particularly haunting, as they confront head-on the complex and often contradictory emotions that can arise in survivors of sexual abuse. The song ends with a call to action - "Kill the guilty" - which may be interpreted as a plea for justice or a cry of vengeance, or perhaps both.
Overall, It Takes No Guts is a powerful and emotionally charged song that offers a window into the pain and trauma of sexual abuse. The lyrics are raw and unflinching, and the delivery is intense and visceral, making for a deeply affecting listening experience.

For some reason, this album was removed from iTunes yesterday or a few days ago. Why, iTunes, why. This was one of my favorite metal songs, and this was one of my favorite songs from Tony Hawk's Underground. It infuriated me. #iTunesHasProblems
