You’ve got your family, and they need you there
Though I’ve tried to resist, being last on your list
But no other man’s gonna do
So I’m saving all my love for you
It’s not very easy, living all alone
My friends try and tell me, find a man of my own
‘Cause I’d rather be home feeling blue
So I’m saving all my love for you
You used to tell me we’d run away together
Love gives you the right to be free
You said be patient, just wait a little longer
But that’s just an old fantasy
I’ve got to get ready, just a few minutes more
Gonna get that old feeling when you walk through that door
‘Cause tonight is the night, for I’m feeling alright
We’ll be making love the whole night through
So I’m saving all my love
Yes I’m saving all my love
Yes I’m saving all my love for you
For you
I’m saving all my love for you
Susan's song "My Love" is a poignant ballad about a woman who is deeply in love with a man who cannot be fully present in her life. The song centers around the theme of unrequited love and the pain and sorrow that this can bring. The first verse conveys the idea that the couple's relationship is limited to only "a few stolen moments". This implies that the man is not fully available to Susan, since he has commitments to his family that come first. Despite this, Susan has tried to resist her feelings for him, knowing that she is last on his list. However, she cannot deny her love for him and is therefore saving all her love for him.
The second verse highlights the loneliness that Susan feels, being without a partner. Her friends encourage her to find someone of her own, but Susan cannot bear the thought of being with anyone else, as she would rather be at home feeling blue. The third verse reveals that the man has promised to run away with Susan, but that this is just an old fantasy. The final verse expresses Susan's hopeful anticipation of the man's return that night, as they will finally be able to make love the whole night through. The song ends with a repetition of the line "I'm saving all my love for you", emphasizing that Susan's love is unwavering, even though it cannot be fully reciprocated.

This song lyrics is a mess, but romaji
Ima me to me ga surechigau
Fushigina sekai e hairikomu
Mienai ito ni tsurerarete
Futari wa itsuka chikadzuku
Destiny only existed for me
As a word on a page in a dictionary
But all that changed from the day i met you
I really wish i could forget you
Tooi mukashi no doko ka de
Kokoro wa rizumu kanadeteita
Watashi ga ikite iru koto
Anata ga ikite iru koto
Ima hitotsu aru no wa
Anata e no tegakari
Destiny only existed for me
As a word on a page in a dictionary
But all that changed from the day i met you
I really wish i could forget you
Hitotsu dake nokoru no wa
Anata e no tegakari dake
Tatoe subete ga owatte mo
Futari no kage wa nokoru hazu
Subete no maku ga tojite mo
Futari no kage wa nokoru hazu
Must have been fate that brought you to me
The touch of your hand sends sparks running through me
I never sleep when we're not together
Just wanna stay here with you, forever

Kanji:
Destiny only existed for me
As a word on a page in a dictionary
But all that changed from the day i met you
I really wish i could forget you
Destiny only existed for me
As a word on a page in a dictionary
But all that changed from the day i met you
I really wish i could forget you
Must have been fate that brought you to me
The touch of your hand sends sparks running through me
I never sleep when we're not together
Just wanna stay here with you, forever

Another 99,9%-Takahashi-Song of the two very good Susan-albums. "I only come out at night" and "Screamer" are the other synth-masterpieces.
I love all the output from the early eighties, especially the japanese. It was so innovative, with all the new possibilities given by synthesizers, midi (later), fairlight and so on.
In comparison today's music is really boring. I miss the catchy melodies, the songwriting, the search for the new.
