I saw in movies him singing and even took a picture of his car in a museum but was so oblivous, i still didint know who he was. I have heard his christmas songs tho when i was little. Blue christmas is my fav. Anyway, since i watched the elvis movie i am in love. I know why so many people love him and still do. For ex in 1970 Elvis had a nr 1 in UK with The wonder of you, in Belgium he had a nr 1 hit with Burning Love and even in 1974 with My Boy. And even with his death Way Down was also a nr 1 in UK. To be honest I like all his songs because Elvis is the most versatile singer ever but if people ask me what song makes me really crazy then I answer Jailhouse rock.

I'm English and have been an Elvis fan since the age of 3 years old in 1968. I've been to Graceland several times over. Elvis is truly unsurpassed, noone compares,it is not possible. He changed not only music but also the culture of America in the 1950's. A pure God given talent and also a man of great compassion for others.
I had the privilege of standing on the very spot he stood as he recorded this incredible song in 1969 at American Sound Studios in Memphis. That was in August 1987, just to let you know the floor was wooden floorboards.
This is my favourite Elvis song, his Memphis sessions of 1969 are a musical masterpiece.

I remember the oldies channel used to play Elvis for one hour on Sundays. I loved it but my mother hated it.
So now I have Elvis one hour days with my son. We dance and sing on the top of our lungs for one hour every Sunday.
I love having this tradition with my son.

Have you been to see it yet? I did last weekend. It was great. The actor who played Elvis was a little “iffy” to me at first, but he really did it got into it soon. I heard his Elvis’s family approved. The only thing I didn’t like was Tom Hanks, Bc of his comments about Trump. But he made a wonderful bad guy. Who knew?😆😆😆

Ashamed to say that growing up in the 60's, I didn't appreciate Elvis' insane voice. I liked him but more as background to my life enjoying the movies and a few songs. Only last decade or so have I really "gotten it" when I realize just what a rare gifted voice he had and ability to use it. Always really loved Suspicious Minds though. At least I lived the Elvis years.
