Sunspot
Suuns Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I see it now, and there goes them clouds
Kill whatever is to be!
Oh, oh sitting in the wild
You see the sun... the sky
Let's get on!

Turn your time,
Remember this doesn't look alright!

Please remember those words
...faces and..
So move away!

Tell ...you're seeing
You see... what used to be...

..ever you give for...
Sound of the sound! (x2)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Suuns's song "Sunspot" are cryptic in nature, full of symbolism and fragmented phrases. However, they seem to be speaking to the theme of change, and perhaps the idea of taking control of one's destiny. The line "I see it now, and there goes them clouds / Kill whatever is to be!" could mean that the singer has gained clarity about their future and is determined to make the necessary changes. The repetition of "sun" and "sky" throughout the song could symbolize hope and freedom.

The line "Turn your time, Remember this doesn't look alright!" could be interpreted as a call to action or a warning that something needs to happen, and fast. The phrase "So move away!" could refer to leaving behind negative influences or situations that are holding the singer back. The ending lines, "Tell ...you're seeing / You see... what used to be... / ..ever you give for... / Sound of the sound!" are perhaps the most mysterious, but they could suggest a reflection on what has been lost or sacrificed in the pursuit of change.

Overall, the lyrics of "Sunspot" are open to interpretation, but they seem to be urging the listener to take control of their life, even if it means sacrificing something along the way.

<3 Definitely one of my favourite acts of all time. They sound similar to Clinic, definitely. An appreciable influence, not a rip off. Their new record is MONUMENTAL.

I think it's pretty obvious that Pitchfork just hates this band. It's not even all that similar to "Come Into Our Room". There are certainly similarities, but it sounds similar to like 10 different bands, not just Clinic.

Shivaji

very nice

divinedgar

bits lifted from both clinic and super 78, but this is way better than both of those songs. everybody nabs, it's what you do with it.

I get that this is pretty reminiscent of other stuff. Clinic was the first thing that came to my mind too, but come on. This is still pretty damn good.
