1) Syndrome (Syndrome) is a Gothic and Visual Rock band from Japan founded by guitarist Ruiza (ex LAYBIAL) and bassist Kisaki (ex MIRAGE) in January 2000. The lineup was completed by drummer Shion, vocalist Tatsuya and guitarist Ken. The latter two left the band in June 2001 and were replaced by ASAGI (ex JE*REVIENS) and Sin (ex Vasalla). In its two-year long history the band has been very productive, releasing three mini albums, several singles and few video tapes. Some members even worked on solo releases and side projects.
Sadly, Syndrome had to disband in November 2002 due to Kisaki’s health problems and the consequent closure of Matina. Asagi, Sin and Ruiza eventually formed D, while Shion joined Shelly Trip Realize.

Syndrome Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Now it's late, you're alone, in the house, on the floor
Black paints my memory
Black paints my memory
Rage fills me
White Coats My Eyes
Ending your life was
As simple as a blackout
For you
Now it’s late, you’re alone
Black paints my memory, black paints my
Now it’s late, you’re alone
Black paints my memory, black paints my
When I come to, your corpse is all that remains
Stay down
You corpse
The lyrics of Syndrome's song "Eyes" evoke a dark and haunting atmosphere, delving into themes of isolation, rage, and the power dynamics within a relationship. The repetition of the line "Now it's late, you're alone, in the house, on the floor" creates a sense of the singer's dominance and control over the situation. The mention of black painting the memory suggests a deep darkness and emotional turmoil that consumes the singer's mind.
The line "Rage fills me, white coats my eyes" portrays the singer consumed by anger and blinded by their intense emotions. It suggests that their actions are driven by an uncontrollable rage, perhaps hinting at the potential for violence within this relationship. The lyric "Ending your life was as simple as a blackout" portrays a chilling detachment, indicating that the singer may view taking someone's life as an effortless and thoughtless act.
The final lines of the song reflect the aftermath of the violence, with the singer observing the lifeless body of the other person. The command to "stay down" further emphasizes the dominance and power the singer holds over the other individual, as they want to ensure their victim remains submissive, even in death.
Overall, the lyrics of "Eyes" delve into the dark psyche of a deeply troubled individual, exploring themes of control, violence, and the consequences of unchecked rage.
