The original lineup was: Cezary 'Cezar' Wisniewski, Bartek 'Marshall' Maruszak, Tomasz 'Doman' Domanski and Tomasz 'Mlody' Kowalski. It all came up from the passion for music, playing hard and having fun with guitars and tons of booze. Band played first gigs in the year 2005. At the end of 2005 they changed their name to T.A.Z and then by the spring of 2006 with Buczek on the bass and Burna on drums recorded 'SuperDEMOn' demo CD at Black Bottle Records studio in Torun (tracklist: 'Welcome', 'Bol Jak Maszyna', 'Expiry of The Deadline'). Group was awarded many times e.g. second place in first Songweavers contest (http://www.songweavers.com) or even individually e.g. Mlody as the best guitarist of Hard Rock Festival in Deczno 2006. In the late autumn of 2007 with Krystus (dr) they managed to experience their independent Cold Metal Fury Tour playing along with: Imperious Rex (California, U.S.A.), Retribution and Full Metal Jacket. So you definitely shouldn't watch the show if you can't be open minded. Jazz is a n extremely intelligent young lady who knew from a very young age who she was inside. Her parents nurtured her, respected her feelings and protected her every step of the way. I have complete respect for them and the entire family who respect Jazz and support her in every way. They are a close loving family who love each other unconditionally and completely. They are all wonderful people who were obviously brought up by two loving and nurturing parents who challenge their children when necessary and encourage them to be themselves and follow their true path. She is still depressed unsure about her sexuality. She will never be able to conceive a child naturally. She will struggle with obesity bc of the irreversible effects of hormone therapy in childhood. My step daughter dressed in clothes that were not very feminine most of her childhood and teen years. When my stepdaughter turned 18 we had a big party for her. My sister in law who’s a very buch lesbian loudly asked in front of everyone at the party when are you gonna come out of the closet? I wouldn’t read into it too much, if anything it sounds like an inside joke the two may have had due to her dressing more masculine. I’m gay, my brother isn’t, and we have similar jokes going around. If not, than yeah that’s sucky. The way you dress doesn’t define your gender/sexuality, and for her to be a more masculine lesbian, she should know that. Jazz is also a good example of what happens when gender reassignment surgery does go wrong. She had a botched vaginoplasty, the doctors had to take tissue from the colon, because there was not enough tissue developed for the surgery to be completely successful. She have had many revisions and some followup operations, now Jazz is depressed, and we may never fully know why, one reason can be the surgery that likely has made it largely impossible for her to experience sex, and she may be experiencing pain on a daily basis.

As far as I know, her weight was a problem already prior to her gender reassignment surgery - losing a certain amount of weight as far as I can remember was a precondition for the surgery to be performed at all, because being overweight would have interfered with its success. The complications she did have might have been due to her weight, though I am not an expert and I might be wrong. At any rate, the weight problem does not seem to be new and the family have perhaps been unaware of that because of their tunnel vision that after the surgery everything would be fine because gender incongruity was the real problem.
The struggles Jazz is having now are normal for any teeanger/young adult only she is having them at a later point in her life than some.

Surgery just went how it mostly goes. Complications are way more common than good outcomes whatever a good outcome is supposed to mean. Before surgery she was asked if she was sure about it. She said that at this point she has gone so far that she would be letting too many people down, her parents, her friends, the show. If that wasn't a huge RED FLAG than what does one look like? I don't believe she would've done it at that point. I think she needed more time. This poor boy will come out eventually to tell his story. When he does he will feel huge relief even at the expense of the parents and the show. I can't believe this was allowed to happen.

It is a fad psycho technique which focuses entirely on reinforcing the notion that the individual IS the opposite gender from their biology. Gender affirming therapy does NOT consider other causes such as anxiety, sexual trauma, social pressures, OCD, depression, and a host of other mental health issues which may be the actual cause for the patients mental health problems.
Another fact is that a minor child has no idea what gender or sexuality they “are”. Sexuality and “gender” is a process of neurological maturation that commences during puberty and isn’t completed or firmly established until 4-6 years AFTER puberty.
Also, dysmorphia due to a “misgendering” is in fact the LEAST likely reason for confused self esteem and self expression. Mental health issues such as OCD, depression, peer pressure and social anxiety are FAR more common causes for gender dysphoria. To jump to the least likely cause for a condition is unethical, unprofessional and totally disregards the most basic covenants of medical science.
Sadly Jazz’s family used her/him as a tool to make money and chose to sacrifice their child as a prop to monetize a current social contagion; the trans gender fad.

Even after the surgery she doesn't seem happy and when I look at her I see pain in her eyes. It seems like the mother mostly is controlling everything and when you look at the whole situation it is so sad. Also Sander Jazz older brother seems to try so hard to be in the LGBTQ community to get as much recognition as Jazz instead of being in her shadow. Unfortunately, these people are sold a lie that they can simply just switch sexes. Jazz was genitally mutilated. He's never had an orgasm (and probably never will). His sexual development has been forever stunted. He has to "dilate" for the rest of his life to keep the "hole" (i.e. wound) they created from healing over. When people his age are at their sexual peak, Jazz probably has extreme depression knowing he will never get this chance. He has been permanently disfigured. Many people who transition are suicidal afterwards once they realize the surgery was literally just the butchering of healthy body parts modeled to look somewhat like real genitalia, with none of the natural functions or capabilities. Honestly I strongly believe that the family has a unhealthy and unnatural relationship based on boundaries. For instance, they talk about things that should be private to themselves and not openly discuss these personal and private matters. there was one incident where jazz left her dilating oil in her parents bedroom and said to them “oh I was wondering where I put that because sometimes I come in here and do that on your bed while I can watching TV. “ I strongly believe that’s a very private and personal matter that you don’t need to discuss to your parents about and let alone performing a very private matter, going into your parents bedroom and doing it on there bed is inappropriate. HE was in a position where he was in charge of over 150 soldiers in Afghanistan. Not one soldier in any command position disrespected HIM at all and thats the reality. Much like positive results, we do not have long term studies on failure of gender surgeries. We have anecdotal evidence on both sides. Consequences of transgenderism will take years to quantify.

The main idea was not to allow a boy's body of showing his natural development and facial changes . At the beginning it was interview after interview with a little young kid who was always repeating that since she was very little she always wanted to play with girls toys . A lot of people cheered her úp and a lot was worried about the outcome of the Surgery , an irreversible one . I wonder if someone ever asked her : Is this what you really want ?

Jazz's mother has a close relative who just happens to be a therapist specializing in gender dysphoria in children. What are the odds that a woman has a child who is transgender and a close relative who specializes in this extremely rare condition?

Jazz's mom dragged that poor child around from one TV show to the next when Jazz was just a very small kid. Jazz was obviously coached and answered all the questions from Barbara Walters to Dr. Drew. What kind of mother uses their child's supposed mental illness (gender dysphoria is considered a mental illness), to get media attention and even get their very own reality show? Jeanette used Jazz to feed her insatiable narcissism.

Jazz was manipulated with hormone blocks and medicated with female hormones starting at 11 years old. Before she was an adult she was surgically c*strated. Jazz is permanently stunted physically and emotionally. A crime was committed against this child. Jeanette, Jazz's mom, is a very sick woman. Why didn't anyone stop her from abusing Jazz? Even worse, she found doctors and therapists who colluded with her and affirmed her belligerent behavior. This isn't a story of transgender acceptance. It's the story of a narcissist mother with a clear case of munchausen syndrome by proxy.

Yep, people should look up the documentation online of Jeanette emailing back and forth with an interviewer (ironically, a transgender interviewer that got a bad vibe from Jeanette), where she says Jazz needs her to guide the interviews and answering of questions, as well as help "remembering" things because apparently Jazz forgets most things from his childhood. It's very much coached. And as you mentioned, if someone truly believes their child is struggling with some sort of mental condition, it's weird they would want to platform that and spread it around to the media like a prize. You're missing one major event in this sad drama: her transition surgery.
Everything fell apart at that point. Her weight gain happened then. I saw the episodes about the surgery and it was a completely disaster. The show went off the air at that point and she came back horribly overweight.
It's almost obscene that a family that "accepted" their brother as a girl would immediately begin to reject her for being fat.
You might want to factor in the lust for fame as well to this sh*t show.

Yep, his body did not know how to handle the cross sex hormones & genital mutilation surgeries. The female hormones threw his metabolism out of whack (energy balance is regulated by several hormones working in concert- feeding hormones regulate hunger, fat deposits, glucose levels, etc, & they act on brain systems that are part of the serotonin-dopamine system.) That's why there's a thing called comfort food- eating stimulates the release of serotonin, our "feel good" neurotransmitter. Many people with depression gain weight as they unconsciously try & stimulate serotonin release pathways at the junction where feeding hormones interact with the serotonin system. I did my graduate thesis on this interaction.

I used to watch this YouTuber that I loved, who out of nowhere started saying that he was having gender dysphoria and felt like a girl, because he wanted to wear makeup, liked flowers, etc. Thankfully there were people in his comments section like, "Dude, if you want to wear makeup just wear makeup. It's not that deep. You don't have to change your entire identity to do so." But he didn't listen and changed his name, pronouns, etc. and was getting more and more depressed as time went on (he was also struggling financially, so I know it wasn't just about the self expression thing). I think it's so sad that young people feel like they can't be a man and still do x,y,z, that they have to change their entire gender, pronouns, identities etc. in order to fully express themselves. And at the same time somehow seeing that as progressive, which is the craziest part of it all. Gender ideology tells people "in order to look/act a certain way you have to change your identity to fit a societal norm that WE are reinforcing!" It's regressive, unnecessary, and stifles people's creativity.

I feel bad for Jazz and have a lot of empathy for her and only her alone. Her parents are to blame for this horrible ordeal, they should have known better as her legal guardians. I used to love playing with girl stuff as a kid and playing dress-up and had my parents asked me if I wanted to go through a sex change I would (and know I would) have said YES! I’m so THANKFUL and GRATEFUL that never happened because as a man I am more comfortable in my body and glad that was never an option in my family. The parents didn’t give Jazz a chance to simply express herself to see if it was indeed a phase or not, and most of the time it is a phase but she will never know due to the parents indoctrination.

I think the biggest thing people ignore is how Jazz’s cerebral development wasn’t allowed to happen with the inclusion of puberty blockers. Say what you will regarding secondary male sex characteristics (body hair, deeper voice, etc.) and her unwillingness to have them, but so many important structures develop and mature in the brain during puberty primarily neurocircuitry, or the ability of the brain to efficiently relay messages across both hemispheres and around different areas. This is a point in time where hormones are crucial, and to be honest Jazz never went through puberty. Let’s be real. Jazz does not have a physiologically developed brain, gender aside.

I'm afraid that Jazz might be regretting her decision of transitioning now. She seems like she hates her new body and I don't think it's only about the weight she recently gained. What if she tells her parents that she wants to be a boy again one day? Her parents especially her mother was too quick to make Jazz transition. She never had the chance to see if she likes going through puberty as a boy. They never gave her a chance to be a boy. Puberty blockers, hormones ( both likely affecting the ability to have biological children) capped off by irreversible surgery when still a minor scares me to death. Children's and teens' brains aren't developed enough to give real consent to these permanent changes.

The general public is led to believe that these surgeries are safe and that the results are reasonably convincing. Yeah, no. By no means, NO. Total horror shows. Jazz went from a gravely botched SRS to multiple revisions. Now we are to believe things are perfect and Jazz is satisfied with the results. Not buying it for a second. Any of the doctors on the show, just look up their handiwork if you think you have the stomach.

I’m a little late to this party, but I’m going to give my opinion. My niece who is now a 23 year old woman would dress, play and say she was a boy when she was younger. My niece’s bedroom looked just like a boys bedroom, it was all Dodger’s everything. When she was around 11, or 12 she said that she was in love with a few cute young celebrity males, and we all were pretty shocked, because we all figured that she was gay..guess who had the last laugh on all of us, because she’s a Beautiful young woman and has a very nice Boyfriend. My Brother and Sister in-law did an excellent job in raising her, and let her figure her life out on her own terms. Too bad Jazz’s parents did not give her that same level of freedom, or respect, because all of that damage on her body and psyche has already been done.

By the time that "healthy organ" was amputated, it was very small and shriveled, due to the testosterone blockers and estrogen. I am not sure whether it would have ever grown properly even if it was not destroyed by the surgery. But the other sad thing is the lack of proper brain function due to the hormone blockers that were administered early on. Perhaps that is part of the reason for the psychological problems that Jazz is facing.

As someone who suffers from mental health issues. I can tell you that a lot of psychiatric medications do cause weight gain. I feel for Jazz. Eating disorders are not easy to deal with. I've also had anorexia. I think that everyone should just give her a break. I love this girl. I've watched her show since it began. Jazz is beautiful inside and out no matter how much she weighs. I'm sure that she'll lose the weight when she's ready.

I’m not in the same boat as Jazz, but I have noticed that my mom has a habit of recording me or taking pictures of me as a child when I’m in the hospital. For some odd reasons, I didn’t like that and it would cause my mood to worsen and it’ll affect for me days that sometimes my eating disorder or my depression will get worse, since I tend to overthink a lot.

This is just my opinion but I think Jazz just needs to live her life off of camera now. I think the excessive weight gain is a result of the constant social pressure/ stresses caused by both her parents and the whole world watching her every move all the time. There's no reason why she needs a full camera crew to be in the room with her while she has medical examinations of her privates. I mean c'mon, imagine the impact that would have on a young person, knowing the entire world knows your business and is talking about it. I just don't think her life needs to be put out there anymore, she's already practically grown up on camera. I get that she wants to bring awareness to the trans community and be an advocate but I think she's accomplished that already. When I was younger I used to be a tomboy and someone told me I could become transgender and be a boy. I thought that was so cool. Plus, I saw how my parents treated my brother and I wanted to be a guy in a guy world. I wanted to be accepted for what I liked.

But now I’m the girliest people most have met. I don’t think we should even think about changing our gender until the age of 21 and if we’ve had at least a few years to think of it.

I thought I was transgender until I was 23 or 24 (im 28 now). I mean truly, all the tell-tale signs, I exhibited them since I was 4. & even to this day, I believe I have a strong feminine spirit within my heart. But also, I've had the chance to find comfort in brotherhood & how to relate to manhood. I've accepted that I was put here this time this way.. & to be honest? I'm so glad & relieved to have worked through those feelings of dysphoria. I get to be an example of a different type of man, but I'm still a man (at least in this life). I get to expand what that means & looks like. But my life is a hell of a lot easier because I didn't go through transitioning. And if I were to, I'd be afraid it wouldn't have addressed those root feelings of dis-ease & discomfort within my own skin within my own life. & that would've been heartbreaking.

There are people who really might need to transition, & that's a part of their souls plan. But I think soo many of our youth are feeling lost in this world where our insides & outsides don't match. & I worry "the movement" markets this in an irresponsible way where transitioning comes across like the be-all end-all magic wand of self realization.. & it just doesn't work like that. It may be more damaging to get further lost externally than trying to find & foster a home within. Feed trans-questioning youth ayahuasca 😝

It’s not really surprising she’s gained so much weight. First, denying your born gender has to constantly be a battle, she never got to be a boy or to try that out. Second, she’s probably on hormones her body isn’t equipped for. She doesn’t have a uterus, ovaries, mammary glands etc. that use estrogen. therefore, her depression and self soothing with food, combined with estrogen that stores fat (hence the reason woman tend to fluctuate more in weight gains then men- even with men being dosed with estrogen in processed foods causing men’s testosterone levels plummet) is going to be mostly used to store fat! I feel very sorry for this person. And I really hope she breaks free from all of this and allows herself to truly heal and set her own path. She’s so young. I’m in my late 30s and I have changed my life paths so many times. I hope she gets the strength to step away from her family and societies pressures to finally think for herself, before it’s too late.

Jazz's mother had big career plans to be in TV, graduated from College with the degree , didn't work out, but she got a show thru her daughter. Taking large amounts of Estrogen at the start of age 11 is going to wreak some serious havoc on her body, not to mention the huge cancer risk. With such a tiny percent, only 4,000 a year getting surgery, this fad of attention will fade, just like any other one that has come before. Jazz loves attention, I wonder what will happen when she is just regular folk like anyone else and no one cares.

It should be malpractice for a doctor to put children on any kind of hormones much less do a live changing surgery on them. Johns Hopkins Medical Center was the pioneer when it came to transgender surgeries. There was this feeling that you could fix, or alleviate, one's suffering by putting them into the body in which they felt was their "true" gender. But after years and years of studying the data on their patients, they found the surgery really hadn't done anything for their mental state. The suicide rate for transgender people who hadn't had the surgery versus the ones who had was almost the same. Johns Hopkins quit doing the surgeries. And other well known universities, like Columbia, have produced the same data.
So I seriously question why a doctor would move forward with such a life altering surgery when the patient is dealing with mental illness.

But I'm starting to think that he's more concerned about money and notoriety than his patient.

What if the real problem is the depression didn’t come from her not being the right gender but from taking hormone blockers at an early age, and then finally transitioning she didn’t have a breakdown until she transitioned. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Jazz speaks like an expert when Jazz has only known 1 way of life. Jazz claims that Jazz would be dead if having had to live like a male. Jazz never gave it a chance. Bruce Jenner loved being a dad & maintains that title today for Kylie & Kendall despite wearing dresses and lipstick. Jazz threw away the male experience without ever giving it a chance. Stunted growth at 5’1”, stunted maturity from delayed hormonal development, increased cancer risk from taking estrogen from age 11 onward (even 50 yr old women taking estrogen to reduce menopause symptoms get cancer from replacement estrogen hormone therapy). Jazz is in position to speak as expert when Jazz has very little life experience. Jazz’s development stopped at age 11 in many aspects.

This is what i was thinking! Lots of people are trying to use the justification of "if i went through puberty as a -insert opposite sex here-, then i would've killed myself"... first of all, if you're thinking of suicide at such a young age, you should be in therapy, not a doctors office! And it's a pretty common figure of speech, but most people would just go through it and be suprised that it wasn't that bad or that is was an incredibly challenging time but they came out stronger/wiser for going through it. Humans are incredibly resiliant when given certain terrible circumstances, i feel like no one wants to be uncomfortable anymore so they take the quickest option to relieve that feeling. Like the whole diamonds are made from pressure analogy, it's important to push through those feelings!

I really hate what Jazz Jennings parents did to her. And TLC is beyond the pale.
It would be a lot better if we accepted feminine men and masculine women without prejudice. Then fewer people might be tempted into this extreme surgery. I accept that some people are trans, but I think for some folks our homophobia encourages them to think that they must be transsexual.
Edit: What I hate is that the parents shared their child’s life with the public. But they undoubtedly thought that they were doing what was best for Jazz.

So here’s my question. Is there not a thing anymore of “tomboy” ? I know when a was younger I just swore I was a little boy. I didn’t like dresses, I didn’t want to play with dolls I was outside playing football and basketball at one point my grandma almost killed me because I was outside playing football with my shirt off. I wanted to know why I couldn’t do it too! But when the teen years came in it was a total 360. Now I get ball gown ready to go to the store. I think these decisions shouldn’t be made at such a young age. Society needs to get off this let them decide plan. Kids need rules and structure and if they come to you with an issue deal with it. My daughter graduated high school and wanted to discuss a tattoo and I said that’s a commitment why don’t you think about it some more and see how you feel in a year or when your age doesn’t have teen in it. You go through so much things that you thought was important isn’t. Now I know she can go get it if she wants (I hear your judgment) but I’m happy she talked to me about it

I used to be a tomboy who made a point of not wanting to be like other girls to the point of misogyny, now I am a boy and feel free to do effeminate things without feeling like a girl. After socially transitioning I had a much healthier relationship with masculinity and femminity, I also now no longer hold such hatred for women and instead I feel compassion for them. I’ve been working out and losing weight in preparation for testosterone and eventual surgery. I am excited and hopeful for my future.

Same. I thought I was trans starting when I was around 13, detransitioned after two years of living as a boy. But I know that some people at that age really do know that they're trans and they don't change their mind. I mean I still consider myself to be nonbinary but I'm fine with being referred to and seen as a woman. I don't at all want to say that I think Jazz wants to be male; her gender is up to her and until I hear it from her I'm going to continue calling her a woman. But I don't agree with bottom surgeries before age 18. The human brain (and the body in some ways as well) doesn't fully mature until age 25, so I don't really believe children have the ability to consent to these huge life altering things before then.

However, even saying that, it's such a difficult issue and at the same time I think it should be looked at on a case by case basis, because different people mature at different times and everyone's brain and situation is slightly different and I don't want trans kids to grow up hating who they are and unable to cope.

In this case I just wish Jazz the best. She deserved to be able to get out of the public eye, to rest and heal and learn whe she really is as a person, without dealing with having to please or with letting down an audience.

In my over weight experience, I can tell you that the base issue is control...thinking that your own life is out of control and that eating is the only aspect left to control all on your own. Over eating and anorexia have the same basic control issues. Head therapy helps, but it does take time to make changes. Another issue may be her disappointment at how her reconstruction surgeries turned out...expectations not met can cause deep depression. Again, she needs time, out of the public arena, to work on herself.

The hormones are a big factor in her weight gain and mental health that alot of people don't mention. Females naturally have more body fat than males and are more emotional due to the female hormones. Weight gain and mood swings are a common side effect for biological females taking birth control hormones. A lot of Trans individuals have mentioned how cross sex hormones have effected them mentally and emotionally. This is just uninformed consent, the doctors don't even bother to educate the patients and give them realistic expectations. There have been a lot of trans individuals speaking about Trans regret lately and how they weren't properly informed about the drugs and surgeries.

Thank you for informing others about the fact that Jazz is (apparently) suffering from an Eating Disorder (ED) and that her family is only making it WORSE by pressuring her to lose weight! An ED is a COPING SKILL for dealing with trauma and stress so adding to that stress is completely COUNTERPRODUCTIVE, HEARTLESS, & DEMEANING!!!
