Variations
T.O. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

fill holes
dig hills
forever gazing at backdoors
for once in a life
it's coming in inspired by our attraction
what we smell
bitter sweet pleasure
one phone call
one fine line of prison
the walk
the smell
the spoiled
backdoor honey please come home
such a shame to throw away
don't you fucking spill it
avoid that

that best feeling possible
yes we do obsess

Overall Meaning

In T.O.'s song "Variations", the opening lyrics suggest a sense of digging and filling, perhaps a metaphor for personal growth and development. The phrase "forever gazing at backdoors" creates an image of looking back at past mistakes or missed opportunities. The following line, "for once in a life, it's coming in inspired by our attraction", implies the possibility of a new and exciting path ahead.

The lyric "what we smell, bitter sweet pleasure" could refer to the idea that there can be both good and bad experiences associated with new beginnings. The line "one phone call, one fine line of prison" creates a sense of being trapped or constrained, perhaps by external circumstances or personal struggles. The repetition of the words "the walk, the smell, the spoiled" seems to emphasize the idea of taking stock of one's surroundings and trying to move forward despite obstacles.

The refrain of "backdoor honey please come home" creates a sense of longing, perhaps for a return to a more familiar and comfortable place. The following line, "such a shame to throw away", suggests a reluctance to abandon the past entirely. The lyric "don't you fucking spill it, avoid that, that best feeling possible, yes we do obsess" conveys a sense of urgency and determination, as if the singer is intent on achieving their goals no matter what.

@Depar Oo About one month..however, I had an issue with Apos.
The IEM’s weren’t really secured for international travel…and they got loose in their Moondrop box .
The supplied interchangeable termination had a flaw and had poor / noisy connectivity
Finally, they had a price drop AFTER I purchased my unit.
Ok..apart from the packaging issues..they’ve resolved everything that I had issues with.
I’ve got a replacement cable coming at no charge .
I also got the discounted difference in price added back to my CC.
As for the IEM’s themselves..FUCKING AMAZING.
As I said , I’ve got Aria, Olina, KATO, OH10’s, Midnight’s, S12 and now the Variations.
I’m done ..unless something spectacular comes along ..I’m more or less done with the toys ..and now just enjoy the music.
Hope that helps .

Hi 🖐
i need your experience!!
next week i will finally buy an earphone
but yet, i still couldn't choose a reliable earphone😑😤 because i don't have experience in this field!!
& an important point that i want earphone just for the song, not for vocal !!! just the song !!!!
the vocal doesn't matter to me , because I'm not listening vocal !!
my style music(Trance, electric, Ambient)
with flat neutral-Harman sound !!!!!
It should be perfect & excellent in mids ,upper-mids
& treble !!(with big wide,height,depth soundstage & Resolution, separation, & clean) !!
which earphones is it ??
(Budget ~$1200)
i was going to buy Monarch Mk2, but i gave up!!
I will be happy if you tell me a few recommend 🙏🏻

@Precogvision To be fair $550 sounds a whole lot nicer than $520

As an owner of the variations, I say you described them perfectly.

After A/B-ing Monarch 2, Blessing 2, Helios and S8, I can see why you’ve slotted the Variations.
It’s my favourite out of the lot - mainly for the subwoofer separation (mid-bass dip) and well resolving experience.

S8 comes close but the warmer mids seem a bit tiring. Dusk seems a bit too harsh on some treble notes. Monarch 2 is not that resolving. Helios is great… the clunky fitting is really hard to sell.

You truly are one heck of great reviewer, mate!

@Karol Kedzierski Hello, can I ask which one is better Sony Ier-Z1R or Moondrop s8? Should I sell Moondrop s8 to buy Sony IER-Z1R? Thank

Kaan Küçük

@PFx Thank you for answering

PFx

@Kaan Küçük I haven’t really tried Z1R. call your local top Sony dealer.

I think S8 is perfect for most people and music, so I think it’s a better blind buy than Sony

Kaan Küçük

@PFx Hello, can I ask Moondrop S8 or Sony Z1R-iem is better? I have Moondrop S8, I still havent unboxed it because should I sell it and buy Z1R-iem? Thank you
